Washington | Georgetown is way better to explore than expected
Visiting Georgetown University, you must not miss the famous Healy Hall, completed in 1879 and named after the then-president Patrick Francis Healy. It’s known as a “National Historic Landmark” and the whole building exudes an aura of ancient nobility. So envious of the daily life of studying here. 📚🏰 Behind Healy Hall is the St. Mary’s Church, a small and exquisite brick church. The beautiful stained glass windows inside depict many Bible stories. Occasionally, you’ll find believers praying or students meditating in silence. It’s very peaceful; even taking photos feels like an intrusion. The church has a unique logo on the back of the chairs, adding a touch of quality. 🙏🌟 After exploring the university, head to “Call Your Mother” – a place known for its sandwiches and bagels 🥯. The pastel-colored cottage is quite distinctive, and there’s often a line outside. They close at 3 PM, so don’t be late! 🏠🕒 Georgetown’s streets are filled with colorful houses, which look especially beautiful against the autumn colors. The streets are bustling with people, full of a lively atmosphere that doesn’t feel like being in DC. The Ralph Lauren store windows are filled with ‘old money’ style outfits. There are all sorts of shops that are great to explore, and there are plenty of food options, though the one we tried was a bit of a letdown. 🏙️🍽️ Taking a half-day city walk in Georgetown is just so enjoyable! 🚶♀️💕 #JustRecordIt #Travel #CulturalSights #RalphLauren #TravelUSA #WashingtonDC #WorthRecordingEveryMoment #GeorgetownUniversity #MySnapshots #Autumn #Healing
