Washington D.C. Food Recommendation - Laotian Cuisine

🌟 Highly recommended for this Laotian spot, with a bit of a Thai twist and an overall sweet flair. The atmosphere is great for catching up over a meal. We mostly ordered main dishes this time; you might want to combine this with other tips for your visit. Here’s my ranking based on personal preference: 🍜 Wok Noodle: Full of wok hei, with a rich egg aroma, and the noodles are soft and glutinous, absolutely delicious. The only downside is there’s more chicken than noodles, leaving you craving for more noodles. 🥗 Crispy Salad with Rice: The crispy rice has a satisfying crunch and is full of roasted goodness without being stick, It’s mixed with some chili, peanuts, and a refreshing pickled vegetable. Eaten with lettuce, it’s a great texture. 🍚 KHUA KHAO: The fried rice is also very fragrant. Compared to the wok noodle, I prefer the noodle, but if you’re a fried rice fan, you might want to choose between the noodle and fried rice. 🍗 Chicken Curry: The taste is slightly sweet with a good amount of creamy richness. The chicken texture is decent and goes well with rice. It includes a type of small eggplant that’s soft inside and hard outside, which I’m not a fan of, but my hubby loves. To each their own. 🥤 Thai Iced Tea: Sweetness in every sip, but it’s delicious. You can ask for extra milk to dilute the sweetness (but it will still be quite sweet). #Washington #WashingtonDCFood #WashingtonDC
