Washington D.C. Park Hyatt – Globalist Suite Experience 🌸✨

📍 Hotel: Park Hyatt Washington D.C. 📅 Stay Date: May 2025 🏅 Member Status: Globalist The Park Hyatt Washington D.C. is located at the intersection of 24th and M Streets NW. In 1984, Boston Properties and U.S. News & World Report jointly developed the site, commissioning renowned architect David Childs to design the hotel building. The hotel officially opened on August 15, 1986, becoming one of the Park Hyatt brands under Hyatt. In 2006, it underwent a comprehensive renovation led by famous designer Tony Chi, blending modernism with classic American style to create a warm yet contemporary atmosphere. He emphasized meticulous attention to detail, ensuring sophistication even in subtle touches. It’s not far from Georgetown and George Washington University (GWU), with many art galleries and independent bookstores within walking distance. 🚶♀️📚 🛏 Room Experience: The lobby was filled with cherry blossom-themed decor. The staff were warm, efficient, and clearly explained Globalist benefits. We booked a base room and received a pre-arrival email a week ahead. One day before check-in, we were upgraded to a city-view suite at no extra cost! My favorite part was the custom American king-size bed—snug and supportive, not too soft, super comfortable. The desk and bedside tables featured delicate cherry blossom motifs, each detail reflecting the designer’s thoughtful touch. The bathroom was spacious too, with a separate shower and deep soaking tub. Toiletries were Le Labo 22—loved the scent! 🛁💫 🍽 Breakfast Highlights: Breakfast was at Blue Duck Tavern, a Michelin-starred spot where President Obama once dined. Globalists receive a $60 credit per person for à la carte ordering. Though portions were modest, the food was refined, delicious, and worthy of the Park Hyatt name. 🥂 📌 In a nutshell: If you’re visiting D.C. not to rush through sights but to quietly soak in the city’s culture, Park Hyatt is an excellent choice. It’s also a perfect place to use a Hyatt Category 7 free night award! 🗺️💼 Have you stayed at the Park Hyatt D.C.? What was your favorite part of the experience?
