Washington DC | The Best Meal I've Had Since Coming to the US!!!
After visiting the Lincoln Memorial in D.C., we strolled along the green space towards the White House 🏛️. It正好 turned into dinnertime, so we headed to the famous "White House cafeteria," Old Ebbitt Grill, but were told the wait would be 45 minutes 😅. Without hesitation, we searched for nearby highly-rated spots and landed on The Hamilton, right next door! The vibe is very similar to Ebbitt's—walking in, you're hit with a strong dose of Roaring '20s vintage American luxury 🥂✨. Besides the restaurant, there's also a bar and a live music venue inside, creating a super lively atmosphere. We only waited about 5 minutes before being seated at a great spot 🕺. 🍽️ 👍 For two people, we ordered: • New York Strip Steak (medium) 🥩 • Crab Cake 🦀 • Fried Chicken Wings 🍗 • Salad 🥗 Every single dish was delicious! The quality and flavor of the steak far exceeded our expectations—so tender and full of rich beefy taste! 🤤 The other dishes were also standout. It’s just a shame we couldn’t finish everything between the two of us 😅. We ended up taking the wings and fries back to the hotel for a late-night munch! 🍟🌙 💰 The total for all this food, including tip, came to around $110—surprisingly cheaper than a similar feast in New York, and the satisfaction lasted well into the next morning! If you're visiting D.C., you’ve gotta try this place! Have you been here before? What's your favorite dish at a classic American grill?
