Washington DC | The Famous Spanish Seafood Paella 🦞
A restaurant that’s been on my waiting list for ages—finally tried it! Del Mar is owned by renowned Chef Fabio Trabocchi and is a frequent spot for Obama. Located in DC’s trendiest area, The Wharf, this Spanish restaurant definitely lives up to the hype. 🦞 Seafood Paella This Spanish seafood paella is absolutely the star of the show—a must-order! 🏆 The lobster and two giant black tiger shrimp alone were impressive. So flavorful! The mussels, monkfish, and rice together? Simply perfection! 🦞 Cinco Jotas Jamón Ibérico Aged for 36 months, this Iberico ham is served with crispy bread—a classic Spanish appetizer. As soon as it arrived, the elderly gentleman at the next table highly recommended it. And he was right—it’s delicious! 🦞 Galician Style Octopus This octopus dish was surprisingly tender and flavorful. Didn’t expect much at first, but it turned out to be amazing! The potatoes on the side were great too. 🦞 Andalusian Garlic Shrimp This one was a miss 😞—way too salty and sour. Not a fan. 💰 Approximately $150 per person including tip. 【Del Mar】 📍 791 Wharf St SW, Washington, DC 20024 #LifeInTheDetails #ValentinesDay #FoodWorthy #DCeats #TravelUSA #FoodRecs 🍽️🇪🇸✨
