Washington DC City Walk 🏙️
🏨 Stay: Global Luxury Suites at the White House Great location—close to attractions and metro stations! 🚇 The hotel is like an apartment, with spacious lobbies and rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped, perfect for families with kids! 👨👩👧👦 But most downtown hotels don’t offer parking—we parked at a nearby lot for $42 per day. 🅿️💸 🍽️ Eat: • Right downstairs is Cheesecake Factory—our first dinner was there! 🍽️ • The next day, we grabbed pizza from Bozzelli’s Pizza nearby! 🍕 • Lunch was from a street food truck (not the cleanest, not recommended—but we were short on time 🚐😅) • Breakfast was DIY with milk, bread, fruit, and cereal from a nearby CVS! 🥛🍓🥣 💃🏻 Getting Around: Metro + walking—we still hit 10,000 steps every day! 🚶♀️👟 Spring in May can be rainy and chilly—wearing a down jacket wasn’t overkill! 🧥🌧️ 🎃 Fun: We only planned two museums: • Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum (reservation required! 🚀) • National Museum of Natural History (walk-in allowed! 🦖) We also booked the Washington Monument summit tour (tickets released online 30 days in advance! 🏛️) And we walked around the White House, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and the U.S. Capitol! 🇺🇸✨ Summary: The capital is beautiful and relaxing, but crowded—and parking is a hassle! Several lots we found were closed on weekends. 😅 #WashingtonDC #WashingtonTravel #TravelWithKids #CityWalk #TravelDiary #TravelTips #DCTourism #FamilyTravel #ExploreDC #MuseumHopping #WhiteHouseArea #SpringInDC #UrbanAdventure #Sightseeing
