Washington DC Restaurant Hit or Miss List 🍽️✅❌
Spent 4 days in DC and tried several popular restaurants recommended on Some were great… some were… emmmm 👀💦 1️⃣ Jaleo by Jose Andres ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Not the best value — portions are pretty small and most dishes were a bit too salty 🧂. The menu is in Spanish, so I had to awkwardly use WeChat Translate lol 📱🌮 2️⃣ Tatte Bakery & Cafe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super crowded and service was slow, but the food was solid — no major complaints! 🥑☕ 3️⃣ Baan Siam ⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was okay. Sadly, their Beef Yellow Curry was no longer available 😢🍛 4️⃣ Founding Farmers & Distillers ⭐ Went for brunch but couldn’t order the popular dishes from. You can choose between buffet or à la menu. What we got was… honestly kinda gross 🤢 The server was nice but went MIA — took forever just to get the bill 🐌💳 5️⃣ Shanghai Lounge ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We originally wanted to visit the Washington Monument, but there was a lightning warning ⚡️ so we changed plans and rushed to Georgetown for some hotpot and Sichuan food! 🔥🍲 Absolutely worth it. 6️⃣ Moge Tee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’d been craving bubble tea since landing in DC, but it was far from where we stayed. Tastes pretty standard — like average boba back in China 🧋😐 7️⃣ US Agricultural Research Services Cafeteria ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ You just sign in at the front desk — no reservation needed! They have Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and typical fast food. The Chinese food is priced by weight — great value! 🥢🍚💰 #StudyInUS #WashingtonDC #DCRestaurants #DCFood #HitOrMiss #SpanishFood #ThaiFood #Brunch #AmericanBreakfast #Travel
