Washington Food Desert? This French Restaurant is an Oasis!
đ We came to Washington D.C. to see the cherry blossoms this weekend and stumbled upon this French gem in Georgetown. We decided to give it a try on a whim and didnât expect it to be the best French brunch weâve had in our 8 years in America!!! Strongly recommended to everyone. Chez Billy Sud translates to âthe house of Billy,â Billyâs private kitchen. The restaurant feels like youâre a guest in someoneâs home, with a fresh and simple decor, and the service is very warm. We didnât have a reservation as we came on a whim, and the place was almost full. The receptionist saw a table getting ready to leave and the next reservation hadnât arrived yet, so she promptly seated us. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees, and they were all fantastic! 1ď¸âŁ FOIE DE VOLAILLE | Chicken liver pâtĂŠ with baguette đĽ Their homemade chicken liver pâtĂŠ is a feast for the senses! No bitterness, smooth texture, and rich flavor. The pâtĂŠ is topped with a sauce thatâs like a braised flavor, paired with freshly baked baguette, itâs unforgettable. 2ď¸âŁ ESCARGOTS | French snails đ The snails here are cooked to perfection, not too salty or greasy. The snails are tender, paired with parsley garlic butter, and topped with a crispy crust. 3ď¸âŁ OMELETTE | French omelette đł The best omelette Iâve ever had! I canât figure out how they manage to fry the eggs so perfectly! The eggs are filled with a rich creamy cheese flavor that melts in your mouth! 4ď¸âŁ LOUP DE MER | Seared sea bass The sea bass is seared to perfection! The skin is crispy with a roasted flavor, while the flesh remains tender. Paired with a tangy sauce and almonds, itâs a unique flavor experience. #ShoutingOutLocalFood #WantToRecordThisMoment #ThisTemplateHasSomething #FrenchCuisine #RestaurantRecommendations #TreasureRestaurantShare #WashingtonDC #NorthAmericaLife #NorthAmericaRestaurantShare #WashingtonDCFood
