Washington Travel Guide Pt.2 🏛️
Washington DC’s museums are incredibly rich and concentrated east of the Washington Monument – a must-visit if you have time! 🤩 🏛️ National Gallery of Art We mainly explored the paintings and sculptures in the West Building. They have works by Monet, Van Gogh, Gauguin, and more! 🖼️✨ Walking through, you really feel the evolution of artistic styles. The collection is huge – sadly, we didn’t have time to see everything 🥹 🏛️ Smithsonian American Art Museum A pleasantly surprising museum! It features classical paintings and sculptures alongside modern and contemporary expressions. The collection subtly traces US history and reflects American culture – pretty fascinating 🧐 Plus, it closes later than others, making it perfect for a spontaneous evening visit! 😌 🏛️ National Museum of Natural History A great spot for families or a relaxed stroll! 🦖🌿 It focuses on popular science education with a diverse and thoughtfully designed collection. That said, the layout felt a bit confusing – we ended up just wandering around aimlessly 😂 🏛️ National Air and Space Museum A compact museum detailing the history of US aviation and space exploration 🚀✈️ I’m no expert, so I just browsed casually – but it’s still cool! 🙋♀️ Wishlist for this year: Keep traveling to more places! 💗💗💗 #WashingtonDC #USTravel #EastCoastTravel #CulturalSites #MuseumsWorthVisiting #Art #Monet #VanGogh #WhereToGoThisHoliday
