Weekend in Mexico|Saltillo

Located in the state of Coahuila, Saltillo is a small city surrounded by a vast industrial zone—home to many auto parts factories, including Sanhua and Hengli. 🙋 We set off at 9 AM and returned by 6 PM, visiting these spots: 🏜️ Museo del Desierto First stop: the famous Desert Museum! The 245-peso ticket 🎫 is totally worth it—this place has everything: dinosaur fossils, crystals, cacti (check out the growth process of 🌵 in Photo 3), taxidermy displays, and even live animals (last photo shows a tiny 🦇 eating watermelon—skip if squeamish!). The gift shop sells adorable mini cacti souvenirs at great prices. ⛪️ Catedral Santiago Apóstol After the museum, we headed to the downtown cathedral and Plaza de Armas, still adorned with leftover Christmas decorations (festive vibes!). Plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby for lunch. 🚶🏻 Escaleras al Cielo A short but steep staircase hike up a hill (with horses along the way!). The climb was exhausting under the blazing sun ☀️, but the views were nice—though my photos (P5-7) might save you the effort! ⛲️ Alameda Zaragoza A small central park we passed by—no need for a special trip. (Though the artificial pond with 🚣 rowboats was amusing!) On the way back, we saw dramatic mountain views—they felt even more imposing in person. Now I get megalophobia! 😂 #MexicoTravel #Saltillo #Coahuila
