What Comes to Mind When I Think of Cincinnati? 🧠
Nestled along the border of Ohio and Kentucky, Cincinnati is just about a 3.5-hour drive south from Ann Arbor — a perfect road trip destination! 🚗 My first introduction to this city was through the Cincinnati Tennis Open 🎾 and the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals 🏈. Like many American cities, its aging downtown might not scream “home of corporate giants” — but yes, this is where Procter & Gamble and Kroger were born! 🏢💼 I arrived on a Saturday and strolled through Over-the-Rhine — a bit eerie with its quiet streets and sparse open shops 😶. Yet, the early 20th-century architecture whispers of the city’s rich cultural roots, especially its profound African American heritage. And here’s a gem worth noting: 🥢 Sichuan Palace near the University of Cincinnati — affordable, authentic, and honestly one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve tried in the U.S. Highly recommend! 🌶️🥢 #USA #Cincinnati #UniversityOfCincinnati #Ohio #MidwestUSA #InternationalStudents
