What I Ate in Kansas City in 3 Days & 2 Nights 🍽️

πŸ– Q39 Lived up to its reputation β€” huge portions! I ordered brisket + ribs with veggies 😜, plus their famous onion straws. The onion straws were super thin, crispy, and only a few dollars for a giant plate β€” though a bit too salty. The ribs were better than the brisket β€” fall-off-the-bone tender! Also, the bartender was quite a sight πŸ‘€: classic Midwest vibe, all in black, full tattoo sleeves, blond side-parted hair, and… well, let’s just say he had great energy πŸ˜‹. πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ Affare Surprisingly elegant German food in Kansas City! Had the seasonal white asparagus soup β€” creamy and subtly sweet. Main course was duck liver + scallops β€” rich and flavorful. Paired with a Riesling 🍷 (my favorite white wine β€” notes of pear, apple, and honey). Dessert was a Black Forest cake β€” not too sweet, just perfect! Couldn’t finish it, so took it to-go for breakfast the next day. So satisfying! πŸ₯› Shatto Milk Tried the famous Shatto milk β€” no need to go to Hen House, it’s available in most supermarkets. Sampled the chocolate and strawberry flavors β€” both delicious and not overly sweet! πŸ– Jack Stack For $15, you get a massive portion of sausages and burnt ends (the famous crispy BBQ bits). But honestly, it was way too greasy β€” couldn’t finish it. Overall, I think I’ve had enough American BBQ for a while πŸ˜…. Seeing so many overweight people on the streets here really makes me want to hit the gym… #KansasCityFood #KansasCity #TravelDiary #BBQ
