What I Ate in Kansas City in 3 Days & 2 Nights šŸ½ļøšŸ˜‹

šŸ– Q39 Lived up to its reputation—huge portions! I ordered brisket + ribs with veggies 😜, plus their famous onion rings. The onion rings were MASSIVE, super thin-cut, super crispy, and only a few bucks for a giant plate—though a bit too salty. The ribs were better than the brisket—super tender and fall-off-the-bone. Also… the bartender was quite a sight šŸ‘€: classic Midwestern dude, all in black, full tattoo sleeves, blond side-parted hair, and… yeah, let’s just say he had great energy šŸ˜‰. šŸ‡©šŸ‡Ŗ Affare Never expected such refined German food in Kansas City! Tried the limited white asparagus soup—creamy and subtly sweet. Main course was duck liver + scallops—so rich and flavorful. Paired with a Riesling šŸ·, my favorite white wine with notes of pear, apple, and honey. Finished with Black Forest cake—not too sweet, perfect! Couldn’t finish it, so took it away for breakfast the next morning. So good! šŸ„› Shatto Milk Finally tried the famous Shatto milk—no need to go out of your way, it’s sold in almost every supermarket here. Sampled the chocolate and strawberry flavors—both delicious and not overly sweet! šŸ– Jack Stack For $15, you get a giant portion of sausages and burnt ends (the famous crispy BBQ bits), but honestly… it was way too greasy. Couldn’t finish it. Overall… I think I’m good on American BBQ for a while šŸ˜…. Seeing so many overweight people on the streets here really makes me want to hit the gym šŸ’Ŗ. #KansasCityFood #KansasCity #TravelDiary #KCBBQ #Foodie
