What Is There Even Left to Eat in Boston?

Yet another finals week of eating to chase away those end-of-term blues 🐣 Here are my recs—featuring some familiar favorites & exciting newcomers! 🔥 Gopchang Story No need for introductions—Korean BBQ spot we all know and love. Tried the stir-fried chicken this time… just okay. But the Spicy Beef Intestine Hotpot was delicious! Recommend: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🥥 Ding’s Kitchen - Coconut Chicken Hotpot No explanation needed—the best coconut chicken hotpot in Boston (in my humble opinion). Recommend: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🧋 CHICHA San Chen (Lost count of how many cups I’ve had…) Highly recommend for those who love lighter, purer tea flavors! 🍯 Narcissus Osmanthus Honey Tea – my absolute favorite from their menu. Recommend: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🍨 Eataly Gelato Pistachio flavor lives up to the hype 👍🏻 Also tried lemon—super, super, ultra sour 🤡 (I can drink vinegar straight and even I found it intense.) But together they balance out—surprisingly a great combo! Recommend: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🍜 Guanlan Noodles Their noodles are as consistently good as ever. The fried mushrooms this time were way too oily though—could only manage a couple of bites before feeling greased out. Recommend: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🇮🇹 Giacomo’s Restaurant There’s a reason it’s so popular—SO delicious! The bread basket and Burrata were 🤤 Their pasta dishes are also amazing. Except for the fish… not sure what the chef was thinking. The whole thing was burnt—every bite tasted bitter. ⏰ Heads up: CASH ONLY‼️ Recommend: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌿 Yunnan Kitchen Also ordered: Pickled Mustard Greens with Beef, Steam Pot Chicken, “Niu Da Gun” (fried rice cake), Stir-Fried Rice Cakes. Flavors across the board were pretty good, but the restaurant had a strong old-wood smell throughout. You get used to it after a while, I guess. My favorites were the stir-fried rice cakes + pickled mustard greens with beef. Left feeling weirdly healthy (not sure why 🧐).
