What to Eat on Baker Street | Kitchen at Holmes
After checking in at 221B Baker Street—the iconic "hometown" of Sherlock Holmes—I popped into a nearby Mediterranean fusion restaurant on a whim. To my surprise, it was so delicious 😋! The restaurant has such a cozy, atmospheric vibe—perfect for a girls’ get-together or a romantic date night~ 🍽️ Grilled OctopusThis was insanely good 🥹—I practically licked the plate clean! The octopus legs were tender yet had a nice charred edge, packed with rich, savory flavor. Even the side potatoes and chopped green onions were fully infused with the dish’s seasoning—no boring veggies here! 🍽️ Holmes Greek SaladA solid, no-fuss salad—nothing groundbreaking, but it gets the job done. The feta cheese was a bit too strong for my taste (not my favorite part), but hey, we all need to eat our veggies every day, right?👉👈 It’s fresh and light, which balanced out the heavier dishes nicely. 🍽️ Lobster LinguineThe best part? The lobster meat was already peeled—no messy shelling needed! 🦞 The tomato sauce had a bright, fresh taste that paired beautifully with basil, and the pasta was perfectly al dente (chewy in the best way). Just like the octopus, this one was totally plate-licking worthy~ 🍮 TiramisuA classic dessert that’s neither disappointing nor mind-blowing. It had a stronger coffee bitterness, which makes it ideal for people who don’t like overly sweet treats! Both the menu and the decor are super unique—they’re filled with Sherlock Holmes (or more specifically, Sherlock) references. There’s even a small gallery downstairs you can visit after eating 🥸. Hands down, this is the most satisfying Mediterranean meal I’ve had lately 🥰! 📍 Kitchen at Holmes108 Baker St, London W1U 6LJ #StudyAbroadUK #LondonFood #SherlockHolmes #MediterraneanCuisine
