What to Eat Tomorrow? | Madison Restaurant Week 🥩

Taking advantage of Restaurant Week to try upscale spots I don’t usually visit! This time, I went to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse near Middleton Costco. Their Restaurant Week menu was a 3-course meal for $50 💵 (and honestly, even outside the event, a similar set is only $55!). Here’s the breakdown: 🍞 Warm Bread Basket Served hot, soft, and fluffy with delicious butter. A simple but strong start! 🥣 Starter: Lobster Bisque / Salad We tried the lobster bisque – it was just okay. Not bad, but not memorable either. 🥩 Main: Medium-Rare Filet Mignon Cooked PERFECTLY – beautiful sear outside, tender and pink inside 👌 The transition in doneness was flawless. Definitely better than Texas Roadhouse (and pricier, but worth it for special occasions!). I always order filet at steakhouses now – it’s just the right portion, and I still can’t cook it this well at home 😂 🥬 Side: Creamed Spinach SO. GOOD. Rich but not heavy, creamy but not overwhelming. A must-try! 🍫 Dessert: Chocolate Mousse Not too sweet – balanced with a slight bitter chocolate note. Highly recommend! My friend got the cheesecake, which was good but very sweet. ✨ Overall Thoughts: Portions weren’t huge, but the meal was satisfying and well-executed. Perfect for a treat-yourself night! Rating: 4.2/5 ⭐️ #RestaurantWeek #MadisonEats #SteakLover #FoodReview #UWMadison #DiningInMadison
