What would bring me back to Temecula isn’t any winery — it’s this plac
A Hidden Gem 💎 Temecula’s treasure: Southeast Asian–French fusion restaurant Corbeaux Didn’t want to overthink it, so we went straight for the Prix Fixe Menu — only $99 per person! We also added the wine pairing 🍷 (four courses paired with five wines — you can also choose tea pairing 🍵). The dishes are easy to appreciate, and the wine pairings are harmonious and complementary. Their cuisine blends French and Asian influences — refined French technique with delicate flavors, paired with vibrant Southeast Asian ingredients like coconut, curry, Thai basil, and even chili oil. 🌶️ We started with a Welcome Drink 🍾️ — Brut Rosé sparkling — and Amuse Bouche (caviar, smoked salmon on mini toasts). We intentionally ordered different dishes so we could try 8 courses in total! 😜 1st Course 🍽️ Kinilaw + Oyster Yellowtail hamachi — with kumquat, ponzu, cherry tomato Oyster — champagne mignonette, cherry blossom, green tea Both were refreshing and incredibly fresh. 2nd Course 🍽️ Black Cod + Mushroom Grilled black cod — blood orange, curry, pickled carrot Maitake, morel mushrooms, mushroom potato foam, strawberry powder The fish was tender and the sauce didn’t overpower its natural flavor. The morels were umami-rich, but the strawberry sprinkle made the dish a tad too sweet for my taste — maybe skip this one. 🙃 🍞 After two courses, they served house-made brioche with lavender honey butter. 3rd Course 🍽️ Culver Duck + Ravioli Smoked duck — cucumber 🥒, fresh herbs, kumquat Lobster ravioli — creamy sauce, smoked trout roe, chili oil The duck was light and flavorful — delicious 😋 The lobster ravioli sauce was a bit heavy, and by then we were already getting full. 4th Course (Dessert) 🍽️ Mille Feuille + Chocolate Napoleon puff pastry — jasmine cream, orange marmalade, caramelized crisp layers Chocolate “Cigar” — chocolate, coffee cream, smoked marshmallow, sweet quinoa ash The chocolate cigar was amazing, but the mille-feuille was even more stunning!! The wine pairing was thoughtfully done — owner Regan is also a winemaker, and many wines come from his family’s own vineyard. Chef Chris is Filipino and came out to chat when serving dessert. The whole team here is young but full of passion and thoughtful ideas about food and hospitality. Every detail — from dish selection to presentation — shows how much care they put into the experience. Sometimes it’s hard — part of me wants to keep a place like this secret, but the urge to share wins out. Anyone else feel that way? 🤫💖 #Temecula #LAFood #WineLoverLife #EveryMomentCounts
