Where Locals Go for Fun | A Stroll by the Mississippi River (1)๐
A couple of days ago, I went for a walk at Mill Ruins Park in Minneapolis with my teammate. ๐๐ธ Summer is the perfect time to come to the Mississippi River to catch a cool breeze, especially standing by St. Anthony Falls, where the refreshing wind is super comfortable! Mill Ruins Park ๐102 Portland Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55401 The Mississippi River runs through Minnesota, bringing abundant hydropower resources. ๐๐ธMinneapolis, the largest city in Minnesota, is also known as the "City of Lakes" because of the many lakes and rivers around it. Minneapolis developed around the only waterfall on the Mississippi RiverโSt. Anthony Falls. The first Washburn Mill opened in 1874, and the immigrant population of this emerging city provided a rich labor force for the flour industry. ๐๐ธ Railway lines transported grains from the vast western plains to the mills, St. Anthony Falls provided power to drive turbines for grinding, trains hauled goods to the port in Duluth, and then flour was shipped to the east. ๐๐ธWith favorable timing, geographical advantages, and harmonious people, Minneapolis produced almost 10% of the nation's flour by 1905. #USA ๐๐
