Where to Go for a Weekend in the US | Attractions Around Dallas

The main destination for this rotation was Dallas, where I spent about two weeks, mostly squeezing in time to explore the city and its surroundings during my usual routine. This trip didn't involve much detailed documentation of food, as typical American meals are pretty standard. The two stand-out places were Sonic, a fast-food burger joint with really good fries and burgers🍔, which also offers a drive-in option, and Roadhouse, a classic Dallas BBQ spot where the pre-meal bread is incredibly delicious!!! 🦒The city's must-see spots basically include the Reunion Tower, the JFK Memorial Plaza (where President Kennedy was assassinated), and the Longhorn statues in the arts district, as well as the nearby Giant Eyeball statue. 🌳Near the city, I was recommended to visit White Rock Lake Park to the east, where I caught the evening sunset and afterglow, snapping some great photos of the pavilion on the northern lawn. On the lake's eastern side, there are many spots for mooring sailboats, and I managed to capture a stunning framed view right between two trees. 🪵Overall, I have a pretty good impression of Dallas. It's a laid-back city with a pleasant environment and a strong sense of safety. As a quintessential red state, many locals prefer to drive pickup trucks, partly because Texas is an oil-producing state with very cheap gas prices, around $2-3 per gallon. #Dallas #USWestTravel #WeekendGetaway
