Where to See Whales 🐳 & Eat Lobster in Portland?
📍 Restaurant Name: Boothbay Lobster Wharf 🏠 Address: 97 Atlantic Ave, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538 Our visit to this lobster restaurant was totally unplanned! We originally wanted to go to a nearby market to buy lobster, but that market only sold raw ones and didn’t offer cooking services—so they recommended us to come here instead 🤗. We got a 2-pound giant lobster: its meat was firm and chewy, and while the claw shells were a bit hard to crack, the thoughtful restaurant had already split them open beforehand, making it way easier to eat 🦞. The lobster meat was sweet and fresh, with “freshness” as its biggest highlight—it was really good! We ordered corn and salad as sides: the corn was boiled together with the lobster, so it had a sweet, savory flavor too 🌽. Thumbs up! 👍 If you come to this lobster spot for freshly cooked lobster, you can go straight to the window in Photo 2. The staff will weigh the lobster you pick, then you just wait for it to be cooked, respond when your name is called, and pay afterward 🙌. If you’re in Boothbay and don’t know what to eat, definitely give this place a try! The small town here is also great for wandering around—it’s super relaxing and perfect for a vacation. There are even whale-watching tours available, highly recommended! 😝 #PortlandFood #PortlandTravel #PortlandLobster #PortlandMaine #PortlandMaineFood #MainePortland #PortlandMaineCity
