Who Knew Rural California Had Such Hidden Gems!
Call me the “Hidden Spot Hunter”—I’m always digging up cool, under-the-radar places to visit! 😎 If you’re heading to Bakersfield to see the apricot blossom forest, you can also stop by these spots along the way—they’re so photogenic, every shot will turn out amazing! 📸 📍 Buck Owen‘s Crystal Palace It’s like a dreamy, colorful Western town come to life! 🎨 But here’s the fun twist: it’s actually a restaurant and live performance venue. I went without doing any prior research—just wandered around on a whim—and unfortunately missed their show. But if you’re into American country music, don’t skip this place! It’s got such a lively, authentic Western vibe—perfect for soaking up that small-town charm. 📍 Taco Bros In Los Angeles, you go for the classic “angel wings” photo ops… but in Bakersfield? You pose with wings made of tacos! 🌮✨ How cute is that?! It’s such a fun, quirky spot—way more unique than your average food photo backdrop. Trust me, this will be the most playful shot in your travel album! 📍 The Last Woolworth Lunch Counter A nostalgic, retro-style diner—but their opening hours are super short! ⏳ I had marked this place down before my trip, but arrived too late and missed out on checking it out. If any of you go, please report back and tell me how it is! I’m dying to know if it lives up to the vintage vibe! 📍 Apricot Blossom Forest On the drive from LA to Bakersfield, you’ll spot vast stretches of apricot blossom trees—just pick any area to pull over and step in, and you’ll be in photo heaven! 🌸 I’ve heard the peak blooming season is from mid-February to early March. We went last weekend and were a little early—many buds were still waiting to bloom. But this weekend? They’ll probably be in full, glorious bloom! Everyone, go go go! 💨(If you must have an address: 9049-9001 Valpredo Ave) #HiddenPhotoSpots #RuralScenery #AmericanTravel #CaliforniaTravel #LATravel #LALife #CaliforniaSmallTown #AmericanSmallTown #ApricotBlossoms
