Why is Dallas so delicious? A Bostonian is about to cry!
🔪Last weekend, I went to Dallas to visit a good friend and also took a detour to Houston to watch my first-ever NBA game live—Rockets vs. Thunder. The Rockets’ lead throughout the game was truly worth the ticket price. Additionally, I found out that Houston fans are really chill. After four days of eating in Houston and Dallas, a Bostonian like me is seriously jealous. How do Texans eat so well? I can’t be the only one feeling envious, so I have to write about it and let all the Bostonians feel the same way with me. 🦆 Bamboo House The roast duck here is way better than what you get in Boston’s Jiangnan. The duck skin is crispy, and the meat is fatty but not greasy. Although someone said it’s still a bit less impressive than what you find in New York’s Juqi, the price is only half of that! Their soups are also amazing, like the Yanduxian soup and the complimentary duck frame soup, which I guzzled down in six big bowls! Being able to enjoy roast duck for less than $30 per person would make Bostonians cry tears of joy. 🍢 Tei Tei Robata Bar🍍 This place offers an incredibly atmospheric Japanese robata experience. We were a large group and managed to book a super ceremonious tatami seat. I highly recommend the fried chicken, fried shrimp, Saikyo-yaki, pork cheek, and roasted sweet potatoes (very tender and sweet). The tempura is also good. However, I wouldn’t recommend the grilled quail—it was a bit of a letdown. The average cost per person is $50! #100StoreVisits #Dallas #DallasLife #DallasFood #DallasTravel
