Why is delicious Spanish tapas so underrated!

The Restaurant Has Such a Chill Vibe – Perfect for a Girlfriends’ Get-Together🌴🌴 It’s located at Montrose Collective – you can go shopping or take a walk before your meal 🚶. lengua con porto (Red Wine-Braised Beef Tongue) 🍷 The star of the meal! The beef tongue is braised until tender, with a perfect balance of fat and lean meat, and a subtle sweetness. 🍬🍬 If you love savory-sweet flavors, this is a must-try. I also ordered a sangria – Spain’s 🇪🇸 iconic sweet wine punch. Theirs is frozen, so it’s icy cold and super refreshing for beating the heat. That said, the alcohol taste was a bit strong for me – it felt like 90% wine, 10% fruit.🍅🍊 albondigas morunas (Lamb Meatballs with Couscous) Besides classic Spanish tapas, the restaurant also serves lots of Mediterranean dishes (the owner is Moroccan 🇲🇦, I heard).🥥 ❗️But here’s the highlight: the complimentary bread and olive oil in the top-right corner of the table. It was so good I almost cried 😭! I’m not a bread connoisseur, so I can’t tell you exactly what kind it is, but it was soft and slightly sweet. They gave a huge portion, and my friend and I almost finished it all. The olive oil was incredible too – it’s infused with plenty of herbs, olives 🫒, and garlic slices for extra flavor. 🍱🍱 You can tell the olive oil itself is high-quality; it has a distinct fresh grassy aroma. Most people dip the bread in the oil, but I ended up “dipping” the oil with the bread (I just couldn’t get enough of that oil) 😅. Lombarda Al La Parilla (Spicy Spanish Sausage with Caramelized Onions 🧅 & Spicy Potatoes) This one wasn’t super impressive, but it’s very filling.🐦 aella del mar (Seafood Paella) 🥘 ❌ Skip this! It’s totally not worth ordering – the flavor was bland, and there was sand in the shellfish.🐟 The restaurant has an extensive menu – it made my head spin a little. But don’t worry, every Spanish dish name has an English description of its ingredients, so you won’t get confused. Most items are tapas (small plates), perfect for sharing. The portions are bigger than I expected (maybe because of the sides), so my friend and I definitely overordered with 3 tapas and a small paella🌷🌷 Also, those blue-and-white porcelain plates are stunning 😭!
