Why Miss Portland in July! (With Guide) 🌞
⭐ Day 1: Mount Hood Grand Loop Highly recommended! I followed the guide by @Phoebe 不寻常. Here are the key points: 📌 Panorama Point: Not crowded, perfect for photos 📸. 📌 We added Lost Lake to the loop—it’s similar to Trillium Lake. Parking costs $15. Both lakes had lots of people kayaking, so the water wasn’t calm enough for great snow-capped mountain reflections, but they were still beautiful 🏞️. 📌 A permit is required for Multnomah Falls to get up close to the double-tiered waterfall 💧. ⭐ Day 2: Arcteryx: They have a wide selection—great for anyone looking to buy their gear 🧥. Snowpeak: I visited their store in Beijing before and didn’t love it then, but I was impressed this time ⛺. Frances May, Kiriko made, Machus: These boutiques are all near each other, but I personally didn’t find them very fun to browse 🛍️. Cannon Beach: The weather was overcast that day, and the beach had strong winds—we missed the stunning sunset. But the sea stacks were still breathtaking 🌊. ⭐ Day 3: Tanaka: Highly recommend the pork katsu sando and strawberry sando 🥪. Sterling Coffee: We’re not coffee connoisseurs, so we ordered a sea salt caramel iced latte—it was delicious! Hoping this means we “get” coffee now ☕. Ken's Artisan Bakery: I heard Portland’s blueberries are amazing, so I got their classic Portland croissant. The blueberry jam was incredible 🥐. Sterling Coffee and Ken’s are close to each other—you can visit both in one stop 🚶. Kinokuniya Bookstore: This is the one with Portland × Sanrio collaboration merch 📚. Nordstorm: It’s near the previous spot—worth a visit if you want to stop by, and they have restrooms 🚾. Oblation Papers & Press: Famous for its typewriters, it also has lots of items related to fountain pens and ink—even the business cards are exquisite ✍️. Keen: This Portland store is Keen’s U.S. flagship. Fans should check it out—they have many colorways hard to find in China 👟. These two stores are also close—great for a combined visit 🚶. Pittock Viewpoint: Offers both city views and snow-capped mountain views—definitely worth a visit. It must be even more beautiful at sunset 🌇. #Portland #PortlandGuide #TrilliumLake #Oregon #BayArea 🌟
