Winter Half-Day Trip to Joshua Tree 🏜️
It’s about a 2-hour drive from LA, and the signal is pretty bad, so make sure to download an offline map on Google Maps in advance 🗺️. The journey is filled with these uniquely shaped trees and vegetation, and it’s quite interesting to spend half a day there on the weekend. 📍World Famous Crochet Museum Our first stop was this knitting museum. The bright green in the desert is super eye-catching, and the surroundings are a bit messy, which was a bit disappointing at first. But although the museum is tiny, it’s filled with hand-knit items in various colors, super cozy and cute. The shop owner is an elderly lady 👵🏻, and I bought a cute hand-knit blanket for only $15 - the prices are amazing. The label says a lot of the items are handmade in prison, maybe that’s why 🤔 📍Transmission’ Sculpture by Daniel Popper It’s fenced off, so you can’t get close to the sculpture, but the fence isn’t too far away. The sculpture’s face is bathed in the golden sunset, which looks so gentle 🥰🥰🥰. It feels like the air around slows down for this sunset moment, so comfortable~ 📍The only regret is not getting a coffee with the little tree logo, called Joshua Tree Coffee. I completely missed that the closing time was 3 PM, otherwise, I would have loved to have a cup of this thematic coffee. #LosAngeles #LosAngelesTravel #LosAngelesSurroundings #WhereToGoInTheBayAreaOnWeekends #BayAreaLife
