Wisconsin Madison Day Trip 🇺🇸✨

So I told my American friends I went to Wisconsin these past few days, and they were like, “Why would you go to such a remote place??” 😂 Actually, my oldest brother had a fencing competition here, so the whole family tagged along for a little trip! Madison is the state capital of Wisconsin. Its gorgeous State Capitol building is open to the public for free 🏛️💫. Not far from there is the University of Wisconsin-Madison—totally walkable! The whole campus is nestled against a beautiful lake, and the dining hall’s floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the sparkling water. Summer skies, white clouds, and sailboats 🍃⛵—so scenic! Spending these few days in Wisconsin and Chicago made me realize how lovely the summers are here. Didn’t see any homeless people on the streets—almost entirely white folks. Compared to the Bay Area, there are barely any Asian faces around 👀🍃. After days of eating “white people food,” I’d honestly had enough 😮💨… Found a Chinese restaurant near the university and had some rice noodles—finally! You know that feeling when you eat a lot every day but still feel kinda unsatisfied? Yeah… My weight? I don’t even need a scale to feel the extra pounds 😅 Thankfully, the trip is wrapping up soon.
