Off to go dog sledding in heavy snow โ๏ธ A highly-rated cafรฉ at the edge of town ๐ ๐ถ Dog sledding (for two people, self-driven) ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐A must-try activity in Yellowknife! We did it on Kam Lake. ๐ฅ ๐๐They have over 200 Alaskan Huskies! ๐ They look different from the usual Alaskan Huskiesโmore slender in build, but theyโre definitely this breed ๐ป The dogs are well-cared for. ๐ง ๐They donโt look big but are super strong and canโt wait to dash out and play๐ต ๐จ๏ธEven though itโs self-driven, the dogs actually know the way. ๐ You just need to hit the brake when something comes up.๐ฃ ๐ฆ Unique souvenir shop ๐Gallery of the Midnight Sun ๐๐๐๐ The shop is quite big ๐ Clothes, souvenirs, and postcards are reasonably priced. They also have real fur products, but itโs not recommended to buy them โผ๏ธ Just look and feel them. Those beautiful little animals should grow up happily in nature ๐ โ๏ธ The highly-rated cafรฉ at the edge of town ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐Sundog Trading Post. This place is always busy. They have several panini sets, as well as bread and salads. ๐ฒ The lamb panini is highly recommended; the chicken๐ one is just so-so. There are some local handicrafts at the entranceโvery nice but a bit pricey!๐ง #Yellowknife #Aurora #GreatNorthwest #YellowknifeTravelGuide #ChasingtheLights #WatchingtheAurora
