Zaytinya DC – This Mediterranean Gem is Also in New York! 🥙✨
I stopped by José Andrés’ Zaytinya for my sister’s wedding—and guess what? They have a location in NYC too! 💡 🫓 Puffy Bread The meal started with warm, cloud-like bread—so soft it steamed when torn 🥹 Dipped in olive oil, it was an instant mood booster! +3 happiness right there! 🐙 Octopus Santorini My personal MVP 🏆 Tender inside, crispy outside, perfectly seasoned. Served on a bed of fava bean puree—unexpected and delicious! 🥩 Barzino (Branzino) The plating was a bit messy 😅 but the fish was crispy-skinned and tender. Just a small portion though! 🥬 Brussels Sprouts Good, but not the best I’ve had—Marlow’s version still wins in my heart 🌟 🥚 Flatbread with Egg Highly recommend! The egg was cooked perfectly—runny yolk that flowed just right when cut into 🍳 🍟 Fries Surprisingly tasty! But the dipping sauce was bland—looked like unsalted ranch. Ketchup would’ve been better! Overall: A solid, no-fail spot! Great for casual hangs or low-key dates. If you want authentic Mediterranean without too much fuss, this is your place! 🥗 Have you been to Zaytinya—in DC or NY?
