McDonald's West Coast Park — Restaurant in Singapore

I got to admit McDonald’s really has one of the best employees. I don’t know what the management has done to drive this but I can see all the employees are well trained and service oriented. Service is amazing all the time - always greeting customers with a cheerful smile as soon as the customer step in - especially at West Coast and East Coast parks I have been visiting lately. They instantly make the customers feel welcomed and the environment is definitely cheerful. Though I don’t have kids Of my own for now, they make me plan to bring my kids there one day bcz of all the fun programmes they always bring! So to all the management and staff, please keep this culture up bcz this is a rare service other than the constant food quality. Most effective way to keep your customers coming :)

I want to compliment Ms. Jia Xuan, the manager and a few others at West Coast for bringing in such big smile on my random morning. I was having my breakfast at the outdoors and had to rush for ladies. I know there were birds so I did my best to cover up my meal before heading off. But returning only to realise that my butter has been poked by the mischievous birds. I was prepared for it and was fine as long as they did not disturb my half eaten Breakfast Deluxe. But what impressed me most was when this young lady, Jia Xian, came over to me after fixing the fan above my seat and informed me that my meal has been disturbed by the birds and that she wanted to change my meal for me. She was friendly and insisted that it is better for me to change. I was shocked. She didn’t have to do this for me but the fact that she went to extra miles to make my meal and stay enjoyable! Beyond excitement and overflown with such care and attention they give to customers, I was impressed. By the way, I saw other staff dealing very professionally with difficult customers across my table and so it was good to see them doing about their best to help the customers and keep them calm throughout. It is really rare these days to find dedicated employees who bring in joy for their team and their customers. Not to mention the little things they do that many tend to just brush off their responsibilities. You guys make the simplest things most enjoyable.

Been patronising McDonald my whole life (till date). This is the epic worst experience ever.

Order online via the table QR code. Waited about 20-22mins, so I went over to counter to check with the staff. Staff at counter was a manager name Khairul. I think he don't deserve to wear McDonald uniform.

I spoke to him and asked if my order is being prepared, no answer, no reaction. I ask again, and he just show me a hand sign to wait. I asked for the 3rd time. He replied is being prepared without checking the order board behind him. Obviously just to brush me off.

I went back to my seat and waited another 5mins. Would have been close to 30mins wait by now. So my wife and me went to the counter to check again. Khairul again, disgraced McDonald service standards and gave no reaction. We did ourselves some self help to check thru the receipt on the table and finally saw our table no. order being prepared. While we were checking, Khairul was shouting out orders number waiting for customers to claim their order. No one approached him and he angry slam the recipe on the table while mumbling something. A truly disgruntled employee of McDonald.

After confirming that ours is not a case of missing order, we went back to our seat.

The order came with 1 special order (no salt) small fries missing. I again went back to the counter and spoke to another staff. Staff immediately replied that it was being prepared. At this point, I'm puzzled why the one who delivered our orders did not inform us 1 more time will be served later? An obvious lie by a McDonald representative, again just to brush me off. I waited at the counter and did my own investigation. I spotted a small fries on the fries station with a red sticker. That must be my special order. I told the staff and she immediately picked it up for me. The fries was ready but missed out when being prepared. If I did not point it out, I'll be waiting there like an idiot.

Incident took place on 26 Aug 2023 between 1815 to 1900hrs. Check your counter CCTV for my claim.

I understand waiting time could be long during peak hours. All I want is to confirm my order via the app is not missing....
