Great Food, But Unbearable Atmosphere

I recently dined at Le Carrè and while the food was undeniably good, the overall experience was marred by the inconsiderate atmosphere. The restaurant allows smoking inside, which created an unpleasant and uncomfortable environment, especially for those of us who are sensitive to smoke or have health issues. Am from a country where smoking is not even allowed in public places i have never seen that in my whole life.

Despite the quality of the food, it's hard to enjoy a meal when the air is thick with smoke. What made it worse was the apparent lack of concern from both the management and other diners. There were no designated non-smoking areas, and my requests for a smoke-free table were either ignored or met with indifference.

As someone who deals with health issues, this was particularly frustrating. It’s one thing to have a smoking section, but to allow it everywhere with no regard for those who might be affected is irresponsible and disappointing.

While I would love to recommend Le Carrè for its food, I can't overlook the disregard for the comfort and well-being of all guests. If you value a clean, healthy dining environment, I’d suggest looking elsewhere until they update their policies to be more inclusive and...

Taking in consideration this restaurant is a very luxury one, and one of the best in Algeria! I was really disappointed! Starting from the menu where they don't separate the starters from plates and side dishes. For the drinks we ordered Banana juice and mojito classic mocktail, both were so lovely, the mojito was so fresh and so good. Moving to the food, they have only 1 pizza options which is Le Carré pizza, that's weird! And It's an Italian pizza made with chicken, the pizza was really good, you would enjoy it, the pasta there was very poor, very normal pasta with no special thing in it and it was under cooked. The other plates we ordered "the meaty plates", one was mixed grill, but I haven't seen any mix there! Only 2 different options of meat, like where is the chicken and where is the others parts! That's why they call it mixed no!! As well the meat was really unwell cooked, he didn't ask us how we prefer our meat so we thought he would serve a well cooked meat as most of the Algerians prefer it, but no! It was really rare meat. Bonsoir je me contente de mettre une étoile car je suis obliger pour pouvoir donner mon avis mais vous méritez pas cette étoile enfin bref… Je suis pas d’origine algérienne mais je suis venu dans ce pays pour une occasion, nous sommes sortie pour aller dans ce restaurant « chic » si on peut dire sa et on a été reçus comme des moins que rien. Ayant demander une table de 12 personne on se serre à manger pour une table pour 8, on a fait une queue pour s’installer mais bizarrement ils ont plus rien à nous proposer sur la carte, des qu’on installe après 1h à rester debout. On se « contente » du minimum sur le papyrus qui nous ont servie. Bref on nous a installer à 22h30 et on a été servie à 1h30 sans boire ni rien seulement des serviettes, alors qu’on étais avec une gamine de 5 ans qui pleurais car elle avais faim on leur a dit mais sa dérangeais personne est-ce c’est normal ? Ils se sont bien occuper des tables qui arrivaient après nous mais nous ont a dû attendre je comprend pas… C’est parce que nous sommes des étrangères c’est sa ?? Ont a reçus des plats à vomir debout vraiment les personnes qui ont l’habitude de manger là-bas vous faites semblant, car votre intestin en a l’habitude à force ils dois plus fonctionner consulter un médecin très rapidement pour une cure. Ont a demander un geste commercial à 2h du matin après avoir reçus nos «pâté pour chat » le responsable nous répond que oui c’est possible mais que ceux qui n’ont pas toucher leur plats et arriver à la caisse bizarrement quand le compte et bon avec un accord du responsable, certains clandestins qui ont l’habitude de traîner dans se restaurant en bande de charognards ils se sont mis à nous aboyer dessus tout en nous enfermant à l’intérieur du restaurant avec un enfants de 5 ans qui étais en pleure. Ils ont vu que nous étions d’un groupe de femmes et pas d’hommes qu’il se sont permis de nous attaquer comme des loups assoiffés d’argents, par la suite ils nous ont dit qu’on étais pas chez nous pour nous permettre de leur dire ce qu’on ressentais sur ce service bref la prochaine n’essayez pas la gastronomie...
