Istanbul Kunefe — Restaurant in Dély Brahim

I tried the katmir with dondurma which looked very appealing on their Instagram, needless to say, the appearance wasn't the same, the layers weren't as defined and crunchy as they advertised, it honestly looked like a poor attempt at a crusty crepe, and the taste wasn't all that better. The worst was the dondurma on top. I've never tried the real thing, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it had a weird heavy after taste that i couldn't stomach so I had I scrape it all off. Kunafa Istanbul in Dely Brahim is a wonderful place with a perfect location. The welcome is very warm, and the staff is extremely friendly. The service is fast and pleasant, making the experience even more enjoyable. The kunafa is simply delicious, with perfectly balanced flavors. Accueil chaleureux, une grande salle joliment décorée, ambiance calme avec musique turque pour un soir de jour de semaine (surtout pas le weekend 😱). Nous avons pris une kunafa (5en 1) pour 2 personnes, plein de fruits secs mais le goût de la kunafa en elle même laisse a désirer. Un autre passage chez eux le 22 juin 2024. Le service est toujours à la hauteur. Nous avons commandé une kunafa au chocolat italienne et une autre à la crème du lait (القشطة) et de la poudre de pistache Je préfère de loin celle de la crème du lait, elle est goûteuse pas sucrée et légère par rapport a celle du chocolat ou celle du fromage déjà mangé auparavant Le thé servi gratuit avec des fruits secs (cacahuètes salé, sucré) et des tranches d'orange. J'adore leurs thé Une autre fois je le recommande Je suis passée ce soir le 15 août, en plus de la kunafa nous avons commandé le KUTMAR. Très honnêtement n'est pas du tout bon. A la commande nous avons insisté sur la glace (c'est l'élément le plus important et le plus goûteux dans ce gâteau) . Malheureusement au lieu de la glace c'est servi avec une crème très sucrée texture farineuse (style crème des éclairs raté ou a l'algérienne بطاطا des tartes du mois de ramadan). Je déconseille fortement ce gâteau chez lui et la glace même pour la kunafa...
