My first meal in Hatyai. Great place to eat Dimsum if you feel Chokdee is too crowded. The environment and ambience do feel like having Dimsum in kampung(village). Staff serve friendly with enthusiastic. Most of them know Chinese since Dimsum is Chinese food. There is two area for dining; aircon and no aircon. But mostly aircon will be full. The Dimsum serves here is you need to queue and take the Dimsum u need and put to the counter for them to steam, after that they will bring along to your table. Remember to take the small paper sheet with number at your table when you pass the Dimsum to counter you will need it. Drinks can order when you finish choosing the dimsum at your table. Bakuteh here not bad but abit light taste and those Dimsum too. Maybe I'm from Malaysia Seremban. Because only Seremban and KL Dimsum in Malaysia will be heavy taste and they will serve you without self serving. Price here not too expensive about same like eating in Malaysia but cheaper than chokdee. Thats why my rate for taste only can give 3 but include others factor I give 4.

Our tour guide K. Mimi, suggested dim sum for breakfast and took us to Ama Dimsum. This restaurant is cozy, spacious and have different sections for indoor seating or with air conditioning. It’s like a ‘buffet style spread’ where you can choose and pick the dishes you like, thus no menu is needed. There is a huge variety of dimsum offered and you can eat to your heart’s content! Some dishes are pre-cooked, baked, fried and ready to be eaten. After you have selected your choices of uncooked dishes, you can hand the tray over to the staff and they will steam and warm up the food for you. We chose some traditional style dishes to try but our teenagers preferred those assorted flavoured fish balls. Overall, food was tasty and prices were reasonable with the portion size given. It’s not as authentic as the Hong Kong style dim sum but still good. This restaurant is a tourist spot for breakfast/ brunch, so expect a large crowd especially on weekends.

No menu provided, somehow similar to buffet, you just pick whatever u want and give it to the counter and they serve it to you after steaming it. There were fried food🍤 and some deep fried man-tao 🍞 ready to take; the rest of the food need to be steamed and cook (have to wait). Not cheap; quite expensive. We spent 2800Batt for 8 adult; personally we think it’s not worth as the food was so-so-only (nothing special). Overall experience was ok; need to check with the counter we have been ordered, as the most of the time food that we have ordered was not submitted (porridge& bakuteh), if not you will be waiting for food you did not order 😮💨 We went there 9am Saturday morning, it was quite crowded, server was nice but not effective.

A popular dim sum spot offering a delightful fusion of Thai and Chinese flavors. The variety of dim sum options is impressive, catering to different tastes with flavorful and well-prepared dishes. The taste is satisfying, making it a great place to enjoy a hearty meal. However, the dining area is quite packed with tables, making it a bit challenging to move around comfortably. The staff are busy and rushing to serve customers, which adds to the lively but slightly chaotic atmosphere. Despite this, getting a seat isn’t too difficult, and the pricing remains reasonable. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot when in Hatyai, especially for dim sum lovers looking to experience a unique Thai-Chinese twist.

Okay la.. 'like that lo' eh feeling... Not really suitable for Penang 'lang'. For price is considered cheap! For the taste? Different people different taste... One thing good at here is the steam item is cold when you take.. You need to get the ticket (a piece of paper with your table number) on your the table and put together with your food in tray.. And pass the thing to steam counter.. They only steam what you have taken.. Fried item is already on the serving counter... You can just take it and eat while waiting your steam item. Still got a lot of food that we take... But I don't have the photos... 🤣

Cheap and delicious dimsum costs 20 baht per basket, friendly and responsive staffs even though the restaurant is incredibly busy. You place order by taking a piece of ticket/paper that represents your table number, put it on a metal tray, then pick up dim sum that you want and give it to the counter to steam your food. Order a pot of tea (e.g. pu erh and chrysanthemum tea) for a more authentic experience. There are also various dishes that doesn't need to be steamed and you can take it straight to your table. You pay the bill by having the staffs count the amount of baskets and plates on your table.
