Cloggy's was a disaster! We made reservations for Saturday 27th for 3 persons under my friend's name. She indicated that it was a birthday celebration. That was not even recognized at cake cutting time. Althought we carried our own cake and ask for them to bring it at the end of dinner, they did not even have the decency to bring the appropriate cuttlery for it. The meal was disappointing! The starters were blan and one salmon order came raw. That was not even explained at the point of ordering do another selection could be made. Then the main course came with egg in the salad (not the usual you'd get in a salad). One person in our party was allergic to eggs so she had to send it back. Do these restaurants ever ask about dietary restrictions? Between courses, tables were not cleaned properly. At one point we had to use our napkins to wipe the table. Service was an epic fail. The waiter was very unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable when he started getting personal, the waitress was just ok and the British lady (guessing the owner) was not very interactive. She was just going through a motion and did not engage us enough with the menu choices for first timers nor did she seem welcoming. It was all rushed. There was NO evidence of strict adherance to COVID 19 Protocols. We stayed because we didnt want to ruin our friend's birthday night any further by complaining too much but we dont plan to go back! Little did they know, we work in the hospitality industry and understand...
Read moreCloggy’s the kind of place that effortlessly pulls you into the moment—the food, the atmosphere, the view—so much so that I completely forgot to take pictures (a rare sign that the experience was that good).
Perched above the marina, the setting is stunning, with a laid-back, stylish Caribbean vibe. The cool breeze off the water, the sounds of clinking glasses and relaxed conversation, and the view of yachts swaying gently in the harbor—it all creates an ambiance that feels like a scene from a travel magazine.
Now, the food. I had the chicken shoarma, and let me just say—it was absolutely on point. Tender, perfectly seasoned chicken, wrapped with fresh veggies and a creamy, tangy sauce that brought it all together. Every bite was flavorful, balanced, and deeply satisfying. It wasn’t overly complicated, just really well done. The kind of dish that hits the spot and lingers in your memory.
From start to finish, Cloggy’s delivered—great service, a beautiful setting, and food that speaks for itself. Next time, I’ll try to remember the photos… but honestly, it’s worth experiencing without a lens in the way. A must-visit...
Read moreVisited Cloggys on Boxing Day after it being recommended by our Airbnb host. All I can say is I wish we hadn’t. It’s such a beautiful spot by the boats but omg the services was an appalling and the food was awful. I had a burger, so dry and unappealing served with oven chips, crinkle oven chips!! My hubby had a curry that was served cold so they reheated it in a microwave, YOU DONT REHEAT RICE!! All the tables around us were complaining about the service including us as it was ridiculously slow, no one asking if we’d like more drinks. They just walked around in a daze and just didn’t care. Finally the manager/owner came over to us and apologised with the excuse they were busy? No they weren’t there was at least 3 empty tables. In the end we left without paying as the owner said it was on him! Only enjoyable part was the view and the rum punch when it finally got to us. Honestly don’t think they realise what they have in Antigua and it’s...
