First of all, they don’t even deserve a single star at all. If you are reading this, please spend your $$ in another restaurant, somewhere that will be worth your money. When we arrived at about 2ish in the afternoon, the place was half empty so there were many tables available. We were a family of 4 so we asked for a table for 4 of course. They still let us wait even if there were tables good for 6 because it’s just 4 of us. This is just so lame. We would have understood if we came at a busy time. So we waited until the table good for 4 was vacated. The worst part of the whole ordeal are the food and service. We ordered dimsum, fried rice and sweet and sour fish. The dimsum tasted nothing close to authentic ones. They tasted more like those store bought frozen dim sum that you can eat at home. The skin were thick, Xiao Long Bao did not have soup inside, in short, the quality is subpar for how much they cost. The fried rice and fish were just ok and took FOREVER to be served. We waited for probably 45mins (no exaggeration). Take note, their prices are not even pocket friendly! Bad food, terrible service, very tired and old decor/ambiance and expensive food; definitely not coming back here and not...
Read moreThis was very, very pricey for what it offered but I understand we were halfway across the world from Hong Kong. We had steamed bao, Ma Po Tofu, and noodles in peanut butter sauce. They were all pretty good. The gua bao is something you’d have in Taiwan or Fujian, not Hong Kong. The Ma Po Tofu was good, but needed more chilies and minced pork. It was very mild even to me, a person who cannot stomach spicy food. The rice was adequate. The noodle in peanut sauce was fusion. While the menu described Chinese wheat noodles, it was more like spaghetti. The peanut butter sauce was good but very different from Hong Kong style, which is very difficult to get wrong.
The service was good and the environment was a 80s Hong Kong aesthetic. I expected to be served hot tea but I do not believe it was something they even offered in the menu. I would also suggest playing 80s-90s cantopop, which is not only on theme but our golden era anyway, instead of...
Read moreOMG! I do not understand these reviews, I have traveled the world and eaten at some of the best, budget to mid range restaurants and the price you pay here and for what you get is very shameful.
The quality of the food is a 4.5 out of 10, I saw only 5-6 items of DIm Sum and it's mainly Dumplings and nothing else I couldn't believe it. Just so that any traveler knows this is one of the only places that sell dim sum but I cant say this is, with only 5-6 items it's just starters so you will only get mega disappointed.
With that out of the way its safe to say no where sells Dim Sum in BA, the food is OK nothing special and the portions are small but I'm comparing to London and Hong Kong so the price is double, half the portion size and quality is lower so stick to Argentina food and do not bother with Asia Cuisine as it's to expensive for what you get.
For the same meal in London I would have paid around $60USD here I paid around $100USD so...
