I went to this place twice. The first time, it felt ok. We waited a little bit to enter, a little more to get attention, however; the service was kind and excellent. We felt good being there. We ordered meat and pasta, good quality. That was 2 days ago.
Today, we came back for another great experience. Nonetheless, it was outrageous. First of all, we are peruvian, and this time, we feel discriminated by the stuff. We entered quickly to the restaurant but waited more than 30 minutes to order our brunch. Furthermore, we could see that other tables were attended before ours even though they came later. Read moreThis is a must-visit coffee place in Buenos Aires! It vibes with its history and it takes you to other times. It’s not a modern coffee shop - but it brings its greatness to the present.
Staff were friendly although moving a lot considering the place was busy.
About the food, the juice and the cappuccino were great! - The grapefruit juice was abundant (see the pic) and it was super fresh. Cappuccino was also a nice size and delicious.

I don’t know if other stuff of the menu was better, I usually always ask the Avocado Toast for comparison to other places and because I really like it - I’d recommend making it a little different, maybe adding some tomato cherries or trying a different presentation with something that elevates it a little bit.
I spent 10000 pesos Argentinos (January 2024) (remember I order juice, cappuccino...
Read moreHere in Café Las Violetas there is so much splendor everywhere, since the Café is located within a Palacio, one of this elegant old palaces. There are elegant mosaics on many windows, fancy decoration on the pillars, and of course I want to point out the delicious coffee, cookies, and desserts. I had a delicious Cappuccino and some yummy cookies with Dulce de Leche inside…this famous cream large parts of South America is known for. This place is not located in the center but still in the so called inner parts of the city and by subway easy to reach. The waiters are very nice and the ambience is overwhelming when you are into atmospheric elegance from the old days. So the Café Las Violetas has it all.
