It's like Subway with bagels. Same format, more options, and overall the vegetables look fresher than the aforementioned fast-food chain. Bagels are ok, which is a lot to say given the number of mediocre ones that you can now find in every restaurant across the city. They are always fresh, on the big side, and varied (but where's my everything?) Fair to say, if you live in New York and you are reading this, is not worth going, though. Look for Sheikob, otherwise you'll be homesick. As per the fillings, you have many options. It goes like this: one main ingredient (salmon, tuna, cheese or cream cheese—Yeah, those last two count like "main") and three toppings. Read moreCame here to celebrate the death of General San Martin, who famously was a bagel lover. Classic Sesame guy. He famously ordered a bagel with 1000 capers (legend!) Well, when I bit into this dense, mealy bread, I had to hold back tears, because I knew General Martín was rolling in his grave.
This bread was so dense that the general himself could have armed his men with loafs of it during the war. The salmón was alright actually so I threw in a star. But nothing else in this bagel made sense. The ingredients were flavorless. I left feeling a sense of emptyness I'd never felt after a bagel. I'm so sorry general Martin. You are a great general, despite the war crimes committed by this bagel.
