THE WORST FOOD EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE! This is my first review for a restaurant and I have eaten in a lot of expensive restaurants -, I am 12 hours after and I feel stolen and customer satisfaction is rated for me at -1 .

I will start from the positive - the second path of the meal was amazing, the food was very good the ice cream with Cavier is exactly what I was expecting to get in all the meals when you pay so much money and specifically in Argentina, innovative meal and with expensive food cost.

Regarding the beginning, first of all, the price.

After we booked they sent us the price - The price was 140,000 in Argentina, which is very very expensive to Argentina but we were willing to pay this price for an innovative restaurant.

They sent us a confirmation email 5 days before, but they did not said noting about the price.

We called them 2 hours before to check if nothing changed and we found out they raised the price by 25 percent - which we need to find out now the price is not less than 175,000 pesos !!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!

The problem is that if you want to cancel you need to pay a 300,000 peso cancellation fee we were waiting many days for the restaurant so we decided to go and speak with them there.

When we arrived at the restaurant, my girlfriend spoke with the service manager for a few long minutes and she said she would try to handle the situation, but didn’t say anything about what will be the solution.

If you raise 35,000 Argentinian pesos, you need to be aware of your customers, not everyone is a millionaire.

This does not stop here -

They asked me if I had any problem with some food and We said I don’t like seafood.

The appetizer came with 4 small dishes, 2 of them was seafood which they made some changes for me - the first dish was very regular, the second one was very bad and I didn’t like it at all.

Then we started with the first dish was fish - not so good and not so bad,

After that came the following:

The restaurant served 2 meals to all the people and for me only one, my girlfriend tasted it and it was shrimp.

The second meal was seafood also, and for me, they made takeoff to mushrooms,

I don’t think someone tasted this meal because it was one of the worst meals I taste, it was for me rate —— 0!!!!

I asked my girlfriend how i might be the only one who got one meal and not 2, and she spoke with the assistant chef -

Which said the following:

We were not prepared for what you don’t like, we usually text in WhatsApp 48 hours before to the Cutomer to be ready.

We told him nobody texted us but he didn’t care and didn’t try to find a solution.

We needed to complain to another person and after that, their solution was to give my girlfriend a cocktail, I do not understand why, I came to pay 175,000 for food, how they answered even didn’t give me the willingness to tell them this moment about the terrible dish I got.

At the end of the meal they came to ask me how everything was, I told them about all and also about the mushrooms, but they didn’t give me any good answers,

In the end, they gave me to pay in full for the meal, and they refunded the cocktail they gave free to my girlfriend, and one of the two cocktails I ordered which was the cheapest one, total I paid no less than 400,000 pesos / after 10 days in Argentina I can say it’s not worth 50% of price.

I will finish the sentence I started :

THE WORST FOOD...

Our Buenos Aires trip ended here.

Thank you to Whatsapp for saving the day. It really is the universal way to communicate outside the US. We had a mishap with the uber pickup - our driver was a block over. Seeing as people were getting out of work, it was chaotic. All this to say, we ended up being late. I was able to direct message them via WhatsApp. They were very understanding.

You have to buzz in and announce yourself in order to enter. I was all the way down for their measure of security. I noticed the rest of the diners (dinner group 1) were already eating. We caught up as soon as we cleaned our hands with the towels they provided. I didn’t drink much this trip so we both opted to get a cocktail instead of doing the wine pairing.

The food was amazing. 10/10. No notes They did a great job explaining every dish as soon as the plate was dropped off. There was also a card placed in front of you describing every course. It was such a nice touch.

I don’t know how many courses that degustation ended up being, but holy moly I was full full. Every dish was so good. On to my favorites: One of the starters was a cabbage gazpacho that was so refreshing it opened my palate at the right time. I slurped that bottom like no one was watching. That bread made me wish they gave us more The prawn got me wanting another piece Hands down the favorite for both of us was the udon. That peanut soup was wow. I have to mention how original each dish was. As someone who always opts for menu tastings wherever I travel, I’ve noticed a lack of originality. They all tend to serve similar dishes. Here, I felt like a lot of thought was put into each creation. Makes me want to come back to BA just to see what different dishes the team comes with during a different season.

I thought it was a nice touch that they move the whole party to the bar/entrance to give way to the second group. That’s where we were served the dessert portion. It was a lot. I think I was only able to take a bite of each.

The service was perfection. They really made sure each party was attended to. Even a simple trek to the bathroom facility ended up being a guided walk. Someone was kind enough to lead the way for me.

We got lucky being surrounded by friendly tourists. The couple sitting next to us were a retired fun duo from England and the two next to them was a mother/daughter enjoying a wine session.

You didn’t ask, but you should make tipping a mandatory thing. Make it 20%. That’s just me. Thank you chef for...

Too much foam in the food (3-4 dishes had it out of 14). C’mon, what other techniques you got?

There was lemon in like every single dish. I love lemon, and again, what other ways do you have to bring brightness and acidity to dishes? Felt lazy.

The fancy wine pairing is priced higher than the food, it’s poured out of a plastic measurer thing that spits air in your glass, pours are tiny, wines are mediocre. It's honestly the pourer that offends me the most. Felt so cold, inpersonal, and just gross.

Halfway through the service, staff started taking our wines and juices away before we were done with them. That wasn’t the standard in the first part of the service, so it was confusing and kind of awkward because they took a juice that we were really enjoying. They did bring it back eventually, but that shouldn't happen at a restaurant like this. There was a few wines taken away that still had a few sips in them.

On the other hand, the non-alcohol pairing was a total delight! So many options and each one was delicious. The person who presented them was so nice!

Some of the fish dishes were…. Fishy. Especially the bonito, which I was too embarrassed to spit out but really considered it.

Delightful dishes included the cabbage gazpacho, the carrot cone filled with trout, the crystallized seaweed with roe and foie gras, the trout in curry, and the pumpkin leaves and ice cream.

It was difficult to hear the staff as they presented the dishes and wine, especially when they would all speak at the same time to each seating.

Being rushed out at the end of the meal to the bar felt inappropriate for Buenos Aires. We get that you need to turn over the space for the next seating, plan differently and don’t rush us out at the end of the meal.

Overall, I was not impressed. In a city like BA, with such wonderful options (and wine!!!), there are much better options. I'm a bit sad we wasted our last night in BA by...

Not what I expected Food: This was definitely an interesting food journey and I always recommend to go form your own opinion. As in the tasting menu you get a long series of dishes. It was like 3 hours, I was really tired waiting when it will end. Some dishes were truly delicious, some of them were inedible for me. More of the taste experience than actual food. Also a variety of ingredients was not that big, lots of fish/sea stuff. We also took non alcoholic drinks menu - I barely drank one of the drinks. They are definitely an event, a lot tasted like perfume or chemical. Service: Now, some month after the visit the main thing I remember is that place which charged us 150 for tasting menu per person and 60 for drink (maybe not exactly right but close to prices) charged us additionally for every bottle of water we asked for. And those were like 0.5 own restaurant water. Service itself is nothing special to be honest. I did not feel any attention. I had to ask for some things twice. Atmosphere: beautiful. I really enjoyed the scenario of the evening. Don't want to spoiler. The place itself is beautiful as well.

Took my well-behaved early-teens to Trescha for a special dinner for my 14-yr old foodie son. The service was impeccable, as there were only 9 (of 13 seats) diners total for the 2nd seating at 10:15pm on a Friday. No real menu options as it’s a 14-course Chef’s Tasting menu. Tiny easel for each diner displays each course, which may have up to 5 (!) sub-portions. As you are seated at a semi-circle low bar surrounding the kitchen you have an intimate view of the 5-or so assistant chefs assembling each tiny portion by hand with tweezers and other intricate instruments. Taste varies widely, as expected with creative, often bizarre, combinations, foams and applications. While my daughter politely declined several of the more daring combos, my son bravely enjoyed all - which is great as it still costs over $200US per seat, not including drink options - a bargain, relatively, however still quite expensive in absolute terms. Extremely pleasurable and educational experience- kudos to Chef Tomás and his team!
