Usina Cafetera — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

A pleasant discovery. Very nice place, with lovely style and decor. They specialize in coffee brewing but all food and drinks are amazing. I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte, and was able to see how they made it, they used real matcha powdered tea! (Other places use concentrated syrups, or industrial stuff), I also ordered a Croque monsieur which was really well prepared, the amount of bechamel was perfect. My partner ordered a frapuccino that tasted like coffee, and not just greasy cream with lots of sugar and a hint of coffee like other places, and a scrambled egg, cheddar and bacon bagel, it tasted great albeit a little short on the cheddar. Excellent coffe shop with good seeting and some amazing pastry. As you enter Usina you will see the display with those tasty and beautifully looking cakes and muffins and also the people that handle all of the many filtering options. Internet connection was excellent even though there were several tables connected. There are power outlets but too few if you ask me. We tried the chicken sandwich and the quinoa salad, both tasted amazing and were big portions. Price is ok, not a bargain but not a reapoff either. Totally...

Instead of going to a coffee chain, I decided to try a local coffee shop, and honestly quite the best decision I took today, the food is really delicious and varied, from breakfast to dinner, included vegan options too. And the drinks are in my opinion, honestly, better than most chain coffee shops. The vibe is also great, you feel comfy and quite at home. And the service is too, both drinks were served quite fast and just 2 minutes later the food (at least at tea time)...
