Tierra de Colores — Restaurant in Municipio de Purmamarca

A place with excellent service! We arrived ten minutes after 20:00 and the place got full immediately, still our waiter managed to serve us perfectly, quickly and politely. We had the vegetarian menu of the day (90 pesos, around 4 euros) and got bread plus aubergine to start with, a pasta with tomato sauce (very South American pasta dish, and not the tastiest), and a delicious pan (Argentinian dessert) with dulce de leche as the grand final. After reading good reviews of this restaurant we decided to go. Average price for average food. We arrived and chose a seat. The table had missing items as so with the tables around. After ordering the food we had to get another plate and glass from another table. The plates had a layer of dust but we just cleaned them with napkins. I was looking forward to the lamb casserole, It was a big serving but must have been sitting in the cooker for too long as it was so rubbery. I could barely cut the meet. And the bones we soft. The place is a complete disaster.

We were served (knowingly) cracked glasses to drink from. The waiter/ress was surprised that I requested to have these replaced.

I ordered grilled llama and received a dry brick of meat to eat.

The salad was just wet leaves thrown in a bowl.

The staff were occupied with their phones instead of paying any attention to clients' requests.

The wine bottle shelves right next to the table had a thick layer of dust on top.

The bill was (mistakenly) slightly overcharged.
