Cervecería La Cruz — Restaurant in Municipio de San Carlos de Bariloche

This place deserves better reviews.

My wife and I are staying at an Airbnb in the area and decided to try out La Cruz because it was within walking distance.

We've been here twice (so far) and the staff is extremely friendly, food comes fast, beer is very good and pizza is fantastic (especially the mushroom and Napolita).

They also have a great rustic atmosphere inside and outdoor seating with lights as well as an indoor mezzanine.

Mediocre at best. Food and beer choices were subpar. We ordered nachos and they came with 3 small cups - one with melted cheese, salsa, and barbecue sauce?? Lamb empanadas were good, but not the best we’ve had. Also got the house made veggie burger which was a big pile of mush that came with room temperature french fries. The only thing this place has going for them is their outdoor patio area (if you like to be smoked out by a fire and cigarettes)....

Probably the best brewery in town. I'm not very fond of porters but their Workingman Porter is definitely world class brewing. Good IPAs are all over the place in Bariloche and this place is not exception in that department too... The food is pretty good, hamburgers, pulled pork dishes and veggie dishes are usually best in town quality, though sometimes a bit dry. Seasonal dishes are very original and I really enjoyed the Camembert Fondue...
