We came with 6 families mostly Filipinos as they advertised the month to be Filipino food. We were told that they had a Filipino chef. We were disappointed with the food, they were not authentic nor traditional. I can understand the want to improvise and make the dish suitable to majority of their customers, but when you advertise Filipino food, make it simply what it is, I’m sure majority of your customers will love the traditional dish more. Most Filipinos like us wants to try because we missed eating our food and just too tired to cook at home. But changing it and mixing it makes it a disappointment. I had the Crispy para (deep fried pork knuckle), the pork itself was bland, the dipping sauce is just too sour no saltiness, the accompaniment is garden salad with no dressing and Java rice (not a Filipino dish), the chef could have put some flavour in the pork and dipping sauce if it was made traditionally, accompaniment should have been Atsara (pickled papaya). My friends had Palabok and sisig, all very disappointed.

Wasn't off to a good start bar maid got drink wrong , then had to go into front bar to get a Somersby pear cider because they don't serve them in dining area basically run around for your own drink ... then went to order a chicken dish that we looked up on their menu on the website before we got there and one of the reasons we went there to be told the menu has changed and then don't do that meal any more .. fair enough I guess , but how long has the menu been changed .? Finished off meals tasted ok ( steak ) but did a macers run on the way home was starving .. iv seen bigger kids meals .. if your steaks are going to be stingy at least give us some chips ya cheap buggers as for the salad , WHAT salad , shame on you Bridgeway Hotel.. probably wouldn't bother EVER again pitty because it's a good looking place these days but I went for a meal and was very DISAPPOINTED..

Very Small portion for the price of the mains (salmon). Was still hungry afterwards. (First time a main serve has not filled me up). Nice presentation but not enough vegetables. What was on the plate, cooked beautifully, nice flavours. My friend had brisket, not as nicely cooked. For such a large venue, more counter staff needed to take food orders at peak mealtimes. We used the scan menu but it has issues, so you still end up needing to line up. YOUSING advertised for 9pm. Didn’t start until well after 10pm. YOUSING - fantastic musicians and entertainers, funny, talented, work well together as a team. would prefer to see them perform in the bridgeway music venue, not the beer garden. Toilets looked newish and very clean. Good amount of security, not needed, but good for peace of mind. Pricy menu for the location.

Booked in here for my daughter's 18th, booked well in advance and requested to have our table in the dining room set up along the window and close to a corner so that we could set ourselves up away from other guest but also be able to set up a gift/cake table. a few weeks after making the initial booking I called to check if our request would be possible and we were advised it shouldn't be a problem. The person on the phone also advised me Of cakeage fee and what that included, I agreed to it as it would allow myself to enjoy the night more rather then dealing with the cake. On the afternoon of the party/dinner I called to reduce numbers as we had some cancellations, without prompting the lady on the phone confirmed our table request and confirmed I was aware of cakeage fee. The time arrived on the night and we were greeted by our table being set up smack bang in the middle of the dining room surrounded by other diners tables, plus no extra table, to say I was disappointed and frustrated is a big understatement. I approached one of the staff who confirmed it was in the notes out request for the table set up and apologised and advised she could arrange to move us. I appreciated her offer and took her up on it, unfortunately no other staff helped her so we were then required to give her a hand. As the night went on the service from the dining room staff was not great. Empty jugs were left on table, along with empty glasses, dirty plates. At one point one waitress brought out more entrees (I ordered a bunch four our guest to share) and she placed the new food onto a plate of chicken wings bones I had on a plate. What the hell? Why not remove the plate first the table looked like a bomb went off by the end of the night as not a single dirty, finished plate or cup was removed, shocking service. Those girls were either lazy or just incompetent, one if fact was overheard complaining about our table making a comment that there were more entrees and food ordered then people, sorry I wasn't aware she was shouting our meals. Towards the end of our meal I asked for the cake to be brought out so it had time to become a bit more room temperature so it was served in it's best form, after half an hour we had to ask again. Finally they brought the cake, no knife to then cut it so again we had to hunt someone down, we were then given a serrated knife which is useless for cutting cake, it makes it crumble. Our cake was never taken away to cut and serve up as per previous discussion about cakeage fee so we were left to do it ourselves, at this point I didn't cake cause it probably would have been butchered unless kitchen staff did timber asked later on for our box to put the cake back into, instead of it being brought to us one of the girls dumped it on the table closest to the kitchen, seriously, the girls that night were so lazy, at this point the table was still a mess and most people stood and ate their cake. The chefs in the kitchen were amazing, considering how busy the entire place was, the meals were fast and tasty but the staff allocated to the dining room were...

Great lunch pub for seniors. set menu cheap lunch deal- we ordered schnitzel, just massive, good salad and hot veg bar, plus soup. The soup was good, but not as good as mine. If you get there early, bag a window seat overlooking the grounds, just so restful. But the best thing of all apart from the value food items is the staff. Amazing ppl. Met the manager and told him how impressed we were with the helpfulness and good organisation of staff. A tip for the disabled- there are disability car parks on the Adelaide side entrance, access thru the sports bar, but the ramp is a long walk if it is raining, best to park on the other side, Nice place, good quality food for lunch, more than we could eat. There are pokies there, but we never play them. Last time we went had free snacks given to us and our pokie playing friends, but that was a while ago now. Try this out, far better than the average 3.7 rating given. I only went to 4 because the soup, though good, is not as good as mine, and dessert isnt included in the salad bar. Since this review we have been there twice more. Unfortunately our experience was completely differant. The soup the second time tasted like poison. It was slated as tomato basil. The third visit the soup tasted like leftover vegetables from the vegie bar from the previous day vitamised- kind of that stale tinny taste canned veg has- and nasty, who likes to eat vitamised vegetables with no stock added? The second visit there was no bread. I informed the lady at the ordering station ( no other staff in evidence) and she told me if i could find the waiter tell him. He never appeared until we had finished our soup, to tell us to merely look under the napkin the bread in its basket was wrapped in. Since we had upended the basket previously, removing the napkin this information was not only rude but just stupid. My Chicken Schnitzel was too thick and deep fried in oil for too long to make sure it was cooked through- so long that it was decidedly cocoa coloured- and tasting merely of dirty oil. It is not nice to try and chop through such a thick and tough piece of chicken without a steak knife. The chips were good, but both second and third visits, the veg were very overcooked, even though we arrived at 12 on the dot. What happened Bridgeway? Yuk. stale food, no service it costs nothing at all to make good soup. Perhaps you would like to buy some of my recipes or just google...

A friend of mine had booked a table for 21 people 2 WEEKS prior for a 18th birthday dinner, when we got there they had told us that they didn’t have a booking for us and sent us to the outside on 4 SEPARATE tables. Not to mention these tables were hard, high and very uncomfortable to seat around, more made for having drinks not a dinner! I had asked nicely if we could put these tables together as this was a birthday dinner not a get together, the lady was extremely rude about it a lot of other staff were giving us dirty looks and we could clearly tell they were wispering about us while shooting dirty nasty looks. A few of us were drinking as we were 18 years old and because my friends boyfriend had his drink in front of his girlfriend the Manger who’s name is Donna, she’s a bigger lady with I think orange hair, came over To my friend and got really close into her face and said “if I catch you with another drink in your hand you WILL ruin it for everyone and I’ll kick you out” not to mention my friend NEVER once had a drink in her hand nor even thought about it. She then made all the staff and security watch my friend making her feel extremely uncomfortable! For a manger that’s really unprofessional and no wonder a lot of the other staff never smile or know how to be respectful and professional. The food took an hour and a half to come out and some of the table only orders wedges! That doesn’t take an hour and a half to make! The food was horrible someone on the table ordered a burger it was dry and no flavour and was the last to come out, so for a burger that took 2 hours to make should have been good if I’m correct?? Over all you have one good staff member a girl with blondish brown hair short and extremely kind, I think her name is Zali?? Anyway I’ll never be going to this place again and hope no one else has to experience the unprofessional and rude...
