I have been dining here occasionally for the last 3 years. I had lunch about a month ago and lunch on Saturday and today. A couple of years ago I couldn’t really fault the meals here. Calamari and Chips were always spot on. It was always my go to. The calamari and chips were definitely not even 4 star quality today. Calamari seemed to taste watery, it was not drained from oil enough, I had to put salt on it to make it taste better. The chips were awful, very dry, overcooked and probably had been sitting a while prior to being plated. They weren’t piping hot. Lots of little bits of chips on the plate which I couldn’t eat. Last Sunday I ordered roast beef. The beef was very pale in colour, it looked more like pork. The gravy was nice. The potato bake in cream sauce was ok, but lots of little potatoes were hard and under cooked. The beans were quite hard. Coleslaw is drenched in mayonnaise dressing, and needs more grated carrot. Staff not so great as a friend and I have been turning up at the same time each Monday for a few weeks now and on each occasion we are looked at as if it's the first time we've been there. This is at 3 pm and we are the only people there. I order my drink and then we are asked if there's anything else. Ah, given that there are two of us it's likely that there is. The feeling of being an inconvenience by ordering another drink is almost palpable. 5 pm comes around and a staff member wanders over to tell us that the table we are sitting at is booked for 5.30. We are still the only people in the place and half a glance would tell you that we are about done with our drinks and most likely ready to leave. Again, as we have done in the past. Went for a meal with about 15 people out of that 15 people 8 had the beef schnitzel it was tough hard to cut even harder to chew 5 wanted a childs meal as either weren't realy hungry or had medical problems that didnt allow them to eat a full meal but to our horror we could not have a childs meal because we were not under the age of twelve and if we did have a childs meal we would have to pay extra for the side dishes wich i think is wrong so if your say 89 year old nanna wanted a childs meal it would not be allowed acording to the manager on the night of the 12/7/17 she was very rude and no sort of customer service at all as was the first and last time i step foot in that establishment very un friendly manager ow and a child can eat a lot more from the side dishes than most adults never...
