I'd like to just start off by saying, I am not one to ever write bad reviews, but this is the 8th consecutive time I've ordered food from the Salisbury downs location and been disappointed.
The main issue is not GYG as a whole, the company overall and many of its locations provide exceptional service and food, however this Salisbury Downs locations needs to be investigated by higher up management.
The employees at the drive-thru are not properly trained constantly getting orders incorrect + the cash handlers at the windows are extremely slow and look like they don't want to be there, this needs to be streamlined. For the last six times, I've ordered here, from the moment I order the food to when I receive it has been a minimum of 35-40 minutes, is the delay a result of incompetence in the kitchen or drive-thru staff, I don't know.
When I finally do get my food at the window, it's either been sitting there for 30 minutes already cold and unpalatable, or I get handed an entirely incorrect order.
Overall, GYG is a great company, all other locations set a benchmark for food freshness, quality and service, however this Salisbury Downs location needs to be investigated, the staff are incompetent, all occasions at the drive thru, I've seen cars reverse back due to the number of cars backed up costing the company potential customers.

I ordered two burrito bowl but under different transactions since I was paying by cash and my partner by card âŚ. the order was exactly the same however the first burrito bowl came in literally 1 minute of me paying and the other burrito bowl took 5 - 7 minutes. I had very politely asked the staff manager how come this one came faster than the other one and he said since we made it fast etc. When I then received the burrito it was not hot enough and I was surprised and asked the staff manager âhow come it came so fast itâs not even hot Enoughâ and he said we are know for quick service I then requested him to reheat the burrito bowl or just make me another one. The staff manager who was on duty on the 5th of Feb 2023 at 3:56pm very rudely told me that I can heat it up for you but you wonât like it. I told him then just make me a new one and the other staff from behind in a really bad mood showed his attitude and said â we wonât make a new one â. This was a complete shock and it wasnât really worth our money. The staff were so rude and the staff manager on duty was just NOT READY to accept that itâs their fault for serving their customer cold food. The veggies in the burrito bowl were cut soo big and the rice was not even close to cooked properly.    Read moreThis restaurant continues to disappoint. Unfortunately this is the closest GYG near us but we always need to check our order before leaving to ensure itâs correct. Often the staff forget to add our guacamole (even though our vegan burrito bowls are supposed to come with guac), we only ever order vegan food options and the staff have sent us away with a meat filled burrito before.
The staff can be quite rude. I also noticed the app tells me my order is ready but I always need to wait an additional 10-15 minutes for my food, even then the food is somehow always cold.
We also just recently tried a different GYG restaurant in Noarlunga, and we were shocked at the quality and quantity difference, it really put into perspective how little our servings have been at this store location.
I understand this might not be where the staff want to make a career, and I understand that everyone has their off days but if they arenât even willing to do the bare minimum, work elsewhere.
This business could be much more successful being a unique Mexican fast food restaurant in the northern suburbs with some attitude and quality...
