I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a delightful dinner consisting of a port house steak, chicken skewers, Caesar salad, and cappuccino at the Lakeside Cafe establishment. From start to finish, the entire culinary experience was nothing short of exceptional.
Let's begin with the port house steak, which was undoubtedly the star of the show. Cooked to perfection, the steak boasted a tender and juicy texture that made each bite an absolute pleasure. The robust flavors of the steak were perfectly complemented by a delectable seasoning, enhancing its natural richness. It was evident that great care had been taken in sourcing a high-quality cut, resulting in a truly memorable dining experience.
Moving on to the chicken skewers, they were an absolute delight. The chicken was succulent and expertly cooked, with a slight char on the outside that added a delightful smoky flavor. The skewers were creatively presented and accompanied by a tantalizing dipping sauce that provided an extra burst of flavor. The combination of the tender chicken and the delightful sauce made for a heavenly pairing.
The Caesar salad served alongside the main courses was a refreshing and crisp addition to the meal. The fresh, crisp romaine lettuce was perfectly coated in a well-balanced dressing, with just the right amount of tanginess. Topped with shaved Parmesan cheese and crispy croutons, the salad provided a delightful contrast of textures and flavors, serving as a wonderful palate cleanser between bites of the heartier dishes.
To complete the dining experience, a cappuccino was the perfect choice. The rich aroma and velvety texture of the frothed milk combined harmoniously with the robust coffee, creating a truly comforting and indulgent beverage. Served with a sprinkle of cocoa powder on top, the cappuccino was the ideal conclusion to a memorable meal.
Overall, my experience with the port house steak dinner and chicken skewers dinner, accompanied by a Caesar salad and cappuccino, was nothing short of outstanding. From the impeccable cooking techniques to the thoughtfully crafted flavors, each element of the meal was a testament to the culinary expertise and dedication of the chefs. Coupled with the warm and attentive service, I left the Lakeside Cafe thoroughly impressed and eagerly anticipating...
Read moreLook, I love this place, I went here two weeks ago and ate the salmon bruschetta and it was amazing.
However, last week was horrible. I ordered the same thing, thought everything was fine, the bread was hard as a ROCK and the salmon had a weird taste.
To the chef: when you served us, everything was amazing, the food and your service, but this time, you weren't there, instead there was a younger girl and, sorry to say, your stupid chef.
When he served us the salmon, it was BLACK. (See photos)
My father and I had food poisoning for a WEEK after that. Couldn't eat or drink. On top of that, the Black haired tattooed chef was an idiot. He laughed and kept giving us mixed sayings. First he said "Yeah, yeah, it smells bad" to "no no, it's good, it's fresh, doesn't smell bad at all."
You tell me if the salmon here you see looks "fresh" to you. Your "chef" is not a chef. When we asked for him, it took 10 minutes for him to come out, but instead the lady came out with another plate with just salmon to replace. If a customer asks for someone, you dont disregard their request (she has pink hair, think her name was amy).
Overall, it took 15 minutes for the "chef" to come out.
PLEASE don't keep someone who will serve moldy fish that gives people FOOD POISONING to then say...
Read moreWe went here for dinner tonight and the service was terrible. Girl serving was extremely rude, I thought she may be having a bad day so it didn’t bother us at first. The restaurant wasn’t very clean so we thought about leaving, but I had eaten here a few years ago regularly and the food was always really good so we decided to give them a chance. The food arrived and it was average, steak was cold and salad had too much dressing but everything else was fine. We had spent almost $100 as we wanted to get chicken wings also. My daughter asked for a takeaway container and the server was extremely rude to her, demanding .50c with no manners. This is an unacceptable way to treat a teenager. And not good etiquette to charge for a takeaway container when we’ve spent a fair amount in your restaurant, but I would’ve been happy to pay if she was not so rude to my daughter. On principle, I refused to pay the 50c to a restaurant that was rude to customers, so we walked out with a whole meal sitting at the table, that the staff would rather throw in the trash. This is simply not ok. The staff needs an attitude adjustment. Sad to see a once great place to eat has gone so far down...
