Decided to check out this pub for lunch. First time trying out the menu. Decent family friendly pub atmosphere, plenty of seating areas, rest rooms close by and a bar connecting the gaming area to the other areas.
It was a little busy from previous groups of seniors, wait staff seemed to be present at all times. We ordered and it took about only a few minutes to get table bread and margarine.
Our meals came out around 20/25 minutes after which was reasonable considering it was still busy from previous groups. However, the fish basket I ordered was under cooked a lot except for the piece of fish which was the hottest freshly made and perfect. The tempura prawns, chips and scallop (one) was still frozen in the middle.
The schnitzel waa apparently really good! The size of it was impressive, however the gravy ratio was not quite there and felt like it could have done with more amount of gravy.
The salads were nice.
It seemed our table order rushed the fish basket, as the other 2 meals were steaming hot and mine wasn't, only the fish.
Schnitzel needs steak knife, so I asked an Indian male wait staff and also expressed my concern on the frozen/cold and undercooked plate.
They brought back a steak knife but did or saying nothing about the cold rushed food. Management can review CCTV if required. No manager or apology came up, so that was pretty poor customer service. The wait staff didn't look too thrilled either, constantly hovering around cleaning the same tables after people had left.
Since no one apologised or came to me about the cold food, I simply ate the rest of the fish. I liked the batter and everything was nice, except for the obviously rushed plate not being hot or cooked properly, that male Indian wait staff not doing anything about it despite me raising it up, we would return. Hopefully next time staff will be different and a better overall experience with different food perhaps.
From the photos you can see the undercooked chips, calamari wasn't cooked enough and the tempura prawns (2) and scallop (1) were cold in the middle still and the huge schnitzel and tiny gravy ratio.
Hopefully staff and management take note and improve on...
Read moreI was next door at bingo on Saturday night. I rang to do an order and they said you need to come in. I said do you drop them off and they said no. Next thing an Indian girl with a nose ring was dropping off meals to certain tables. I rang back and asked again if I come and pay can it be dropped and she replied we don't do that. I then told them the waitress name coming in with meals and the lady said on the phone we allowed for them as it's the mangers friends. I told her it's discrimination it's done for those they choose to bring meals to. She said don't order then or go next door to hungry jacks. I was shocked. In the bingo break I went and ordered. The food was shocking. If I could give zero for service, discrimination and food I would. I hope this gets investigated but I doubt it. If there is someone higher who thinks this is not on please start with the Indian girl with the nose ring and who told her to deliver next door to bingo to only selected people. SHAME ON YOU. SHAME ON BEHALF OF ALL THE OTHER BINGO PEOPLE TOLD NO THEN WATCHED FOOD BEING DELIVERED TO CHOSEN ONES. YOU BOUGHT SHAME ON YOUR NAME WITH MANY PEOPLE AND THRY WERE ALL COMPLAINING IN THE BINGO BRESK WAITING IN YOUR PUB FOR FOOD BECAUSE OF THE MANAGER...

Also, If you join as a member of Q Club you get a member’s only beer at a cheap price at all times (currently it is pints of Super Dry 3.5% for $4.50, previously it was West End Pints for $4.50). There, is a large TAB area with big screens and also at least 10 different televisions for whatever sport you may want to watch (consider getting there an hour or so prior if you want one of the larger screens and want to watch something else that isn’t a Crows or Port game running at the same time). There’s a small gathering of West Coast Supporters that regularly attend as well as a Dees fan and one Freo.
In addition there is a wheel night (I think it’s Tuesdays) where you get a spin to win cash and prizes after buying three beers and other sports/racing themed promotions all...
