We came here for to celebrate Father’s Day with our two year old and four year old as well as their grandparents and aunt and uncle. We chose an outdoor table near the back fence. The venue was lovely and we had a really nice time until a staff member walked by our whole family to yell at our children loudly. She yelled so loudly in front of everyone ‘Oi! You kids get off that gate!’ She stormed over and when my daughter, who is only two got frightened she then lifted her without my consent and pulled her off the back farm gate. This gate seemed really sturdy and to me it seemed harmless for the kids to climb it considering there was no signage saying not to and they are small children just testing their abilities. I’ve also climbed many farm gates as a child and thought it pretty safe and harmless. They were being supervised by six adults, not being loud or running around others. They were just playing together quite nicely in my opinion and rather than asking us to ask our children not to climb, which I would have respected, she chose to rudely yell at my small children, which bothered my entire family who witnessed it. We also had another group of patrons come to check in with me after the event to see if we were ok as it bothered them too. When I spoke to the manager he apologised but to be honest he was pretty defensive and rude also. There were no lawn games as they had in the past, which I suggested might be a good idea but the manager blamed covid for the absence of such entertainment for kids. I didn’t like the way he made excuses for the rude behaviour. My husband also heard the barmaid yelling at other children on our arrival which made him feel uncomfortable. Not very happy considering it’s supposed to be family friendly and children are patrons too and...

I have been to lots of breweries all over the world. This is the worst one without question. Food is over priced and very average. We ordered 4 meals. 3 came out at roughly the same time but looked pretty uninspiring. I waited and waited and eventually went up to cancel my nachos as everyone else had finished. And, of course, they then appeared at the counter. So the rest of the group sat and watched me eat alone. Nachos were fine but outrageously priced. Beer is quite nice and the fit out is good. Service is absolutely horrific here. The manager is unfriendly and at times plain rude. We asked quite reasonably if we could put the orders on the same food buzzer and he said no if you are not paying together in a passive aggressive fashion. No smiling welcome on arrival, just a cold ' what do you want' etc. Every single brewery I have been to everywhere else had friendly staff who tell you about the beer, make you feel welcome. We felt like an inconvenience. Table staff cleared plates without a word. Normally one would ask if you had enjoyed the meal etc. Nothing. The manager and staff are clearly not aware of what makes good customer service. I was embarrassed to have asked to come him with my friends I was visiting (who are locals). Never coming back. Am sure there are way better breweries in the Vale. As a former restaurant manager I was shocked at the...

Visited 16th June 24, we have been before but not for about 6 months as felt it had dropped off, not wrong, should have known better. We had 3 burgers, all hash hard stale buns that had been toasted to try and bring them back to life, it didn’t work, my son had the chicken which he liked, my wife had the cheese burger which was ok but only just lukewarm and I had the pulled pork which was mainly really chunky coleslaw and had no flavour and was completely cold. Thought I’d warm up with a mulled cider, tasted good but was nearly cold , I did have an oat cream IPA after that which was lovely but at $15.50 it should be. Outside seating was really tired and not very clean, a young girl did eventually get one of the 5 heaters working but everything looks uncared for and in need of maintenance. Staff beside the young girl, glass collector, were not good, you could tell they really didn’t want to be there and were not bothered, shame as it could have been so much better, overall poor service and food and overpriced, wouldn’t have minded if it was a positive experience but sadly not, there are so many other breweries within McLaren Vale and the surrounding that are leaps and bounds above...

Hello, Arrived celebrating a BUCKS PARTY, and when walking in we were greeted by a artistic wooden gate and luscious green grass 🐄 The dining area was very spacious and has exquisite art work relating to surfing and the ocean 🐳 The range of beverages was grand and had something for all pallets of taste. When food arrived the garlic bread was strange, cut lengthways and hard to tear, very lacking in garlic flavour and toasting. Ordered the swell burger with a piece of fried chicken added to it. The burger itself was very nice, good flavour and ingredients however the fried chicken was placed on the side instead of combining into the burger which was strange having to do it myself 🙈 Overall a very positive experience, the sour raspberry brew was outstanding, only would improve table service instead of cafe style buzzers 🚨

Greta venue, inside and outdoors. Modern with lots of room. Great for kids. Plenty of delicious craft beer and the wontons great. Live music out on the grass on Sunday too

Have always loved swell beers. Had to do a visit. Strapped the kids and misso in and off we went. 1 hour later we arrived at a great location and very nice scenery. First things first. Beer. Then onto food. The burgers were very nice. The chicken burger was 🤙delicious. My son is a very picky eater. He had the southern chicken and destroyed it. Nice grass area. Need to bring something for the kids to play with next time as there wasn't anything for the kids. Only issue was $5.50 for a small apple juice for the kids seems excessive. But hey i did spend $280 on takeaways 😂🤷🏼‍♂️. Will definitely be back.
