Stopped here to have lunch as it was previously really good.. When we arrived there were no clean tables, we cleaned our own table but weren't fussed at this point as they were busy.. We ordered at 12:10pm and sat for an hour waiting for our food and watching.. When our drinks came out the saucers were dirty.. The man that was working was not in uniform or even appropriate work attire (track pants) He continued to run back and fourth looking lost and not clearing any of the dirty tables, the chefs would serve the food up and ring the bell which he then left for over 5minutes as they continued to keep up and ring the bell for service.. he ignored the food and did dishes or paced back and fourth behind the counter for no clear reason.. We then observed him walk around the back and yell at the kitchen staff even though he seemed to be the problem not serving the ready food(yes we could hear it out in the dining area) Once the rush died down he did not proceed to clean any tables off ready for the next rush instead was back behind the counter walking back and fourth.. The other staff were polite, apologetic and could be seen visibly trying to keep up while also dealing with the rude man... Meals were still really good although we had to wait.. As I said it was good last time we came but unfortunately waiting an hour and watching staff not being treated well doesn't make for a good experience....

The spinach on the other hand was supposed to be wilted as per the description but was not. The eggs were not cooked properly, the whites were runny and when the lady who brought more eggs was quite rude and said “I’m not gonna take the other eggs back, you just leave them in your plate”. It seemed like the lady was having a bad day or something because of the way she was collecting the plates, rearranging the tables and chairs banging things together. If you don’t like your job just leave it, don’t take it out on the customers. It gives a bad name to the restaurant. The staff needs to be trained to be a bit more respectful towards the customers and more emphasis should be put on customer service. Please take this as positive criticism coming from someone who has traveled around the world and been to a lot of restaurants. Thank you!

Owner does not understand and chooses to ignore current SA legislation by permitting a woman with a dog (not assistance) into the inside restaurant area. The dog was barking loudly also. I asked the cafe owner to approach the dog owner and request her to leave the inside area which she refused and said no it’s fine I’m allowing it. Owner seems to be deluded and above the law. Council, centre management and SA Health have been contacted. Coffee, food quality and speed of service was great. Service by employees was accommodating and friendly. Owner does know how to make good coffee I’ll give her that. I love dogs by the way, but a law is a law. Without general adherence to these then we have a society in chaos. Very disappointing won’t ever be back.

I used to work here and I know the menu and each meal and drink very well. Ordered a bruschetta and it came with no rocket, no pumpkin seeds and a very cold egg on top. Also the tomato was not cherry tomato. It was a normal one cut into tiny little pieces. The meal was really cold and so so bad. Ordered a green smoothie and it came out looking like a vanilla milkshake. Nothing green about it. Literally white. They forgot to put any spinach or avo I’m sure. That’s what gives the green. The recipe is that it has lemonade purée but the drink tasted nothing like the recipe that customers pay for. We never received a single napkin throughout our time at the table. The fries I ordered didn’t have any salt in them. Not tomato sauce came with it. In other words, this place has changed so much for the worse and I would not recommend this place to anyone at all! Clearly the owners don’t care about the place or it’s employees enough to do something about the increasing bad reviews. All staff looked so down and seem to be doing their job just because it’s they have to. No one looks happy and the management better take action. Nothing is up to brand standard and the head office should pay...
