The Southern Bar Gaming Bistro — Restaurant in Adelaide

One of the worst pubs I've ever been to. The place could get sued for the way they treated me and the day manager forgets that her job is to cut lemons and keep people happy instead of getting involved with gossip about people she knows nothing about. She's turned all the kids that work there into some of the worst hospitality staff in town. You see they didn't realise that I was friendly with a couple of pool team members as well as the pool club president who bought me a beer. The men on the pool team told me what the staff were saying to the customers behind my back and why I was being treated differently from most other customers. I only use the Tonsley in that area now because the staff at this Southern joint seem to have some strange issues. I noticed some graffiti on the signs in the car park that suggests I'm not the first person to encounter strange small town mentality type problems at this pub. I suggest you pay a little extra for your schnitzels at the Tonsley over the road unless you want bogans gossiping about you for the rest...

We came in a group of (13) for lunch on Friday. The venue was extremely busy, dining area was booked out, but that did not impact the service we received. We were waited on and looked after by two young ladies (couldn't tell the two apart) they greeted us with big smiles and exceptional service, consindering how busy they were and what we could gather there was just the two of them running the diner. The rump steak and drink combination for $14.90 was a hit and exceptional value for us senior patrons. Will most definitely be back...

Stick to the specials, which the local OAP's turn up for and are good value at less than $15. We ordered off the Thai Chicken and the mixed grill. Couldn't finish the Chicken as sauce tasted like Branston pickle, the mixed grill was poor value for $21, meat was average at least was hot but bacon over cooked and chips were cold, also came without an egg and when that did arrive was obviously cooked in a dirty pan - even the waitress apologised.
