The OG Cafe & Takeaway — Restaurant in Augusta

We visited today for dine-in coffee and also ordered takeaway chips. After some time, the staff member who was training another girl came over and asked if we had received our chips. When we said no, her response was dismissive and made us feel uncomfortable — it even came across as racially insensitive, which was very disappointing. Later, it turned out there was a system issue, and we had mistakenly been given dine-in chips instead of takeaway. While the chips were eventually offered to us, the experience left a negative impression. To be clear, the trainee — the girl being trained — was actually very friendly and professional. Me and my partner traveled to Augusta from Perth and stopped dunsborough, margs ect. We at ate fancy places and I’m not even kidding the burgers we got from this cafe at 7.40 at night on closing time tops all the food we ate! It was pretty much the only place open and was expecting it to be average consider all our food has been travelling up this was but hooley Dooley it was it was delicious ! Highly recommend!! Absolutely fantastic! This café truly delivers when it comes to fish and chips and burgers. The fish was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside. The chips were golden and delicious, just the way they should be. The burgers were equally impressive: juicy, full of flavor, and made with fresh ingredients.
