My go-to cafe — I recommend it to everyone I know. Coffee is always, without fail, high quality and perfectly prepared. The seasonal menu is kept short and sweet, and I love that the chef focuses on quality over quantity. Big focus on local produce and meat, which I love, and prices are kept reasonable. I love seeing the changes to the menu as a new season begins — the dishes are imaginative, creative, and celebrates the seasonal produce rather than whatever’s available year-round.

I very rarely write reviews but felt compelled on this occasion. I have just had possibly one of the worst breakfasts I recall. I order cauliflower fritters, beetroot hummus with smash minted peas, sounded delicious. When the plate came to the table the waitress apologised and told me they didn’t have the pea smash and instead they substituted an avocado (unripe). She said that they would not charge me for the avocado, wow generous lol. The fritter was burnt. There was no offer of a discount or an extra coffee/drink as a good will gesture, even when I mentioned the burnt fritters, the cashier said he would ‘pass it on to the chef’. Me and my boyfriend went out for brunch and got eggs and bacon with a hash brown and a vanilla and chocolate milkshake , Our meals where not very nice we left half of the meal and I got the vanilla milkshake remade and still wasent very nice I don’t know why, after I told the manager I wasent happy he was a little rude and didn’t offer anything to make me happy or fix it he just said “hundreds if not thousands of people come through here each week and his never had a complaint.
